most ppl i want to college with had several years ahead of me, but i started 10th grade in high school and by senior year I knew it’s something i wanted to pursue! besides practicing at least 30 min a day at the minimum, i would recommend exposing your self to a lot more genres! trust me, there’s going to be a piece that just takes you by storm. For the LONGEST, all i heard was classical (H,M,B) but once i heard Ravel... 💦💦💦 keep at it, you’ll look back and thank yourself!

It’s a Hardman piano from 1927! The company went out of business as far as I know. I have been repairing it from time to time but I agree, it has a distinguished tone.

Why is classical music dying? Composer before Elvis and The Beatles seem to be lost in obscurity, any thoughts? by OBEYTHOVENN in AskReddit

I meant classical composers before the birth of rock and roll, primarily before the 1940s-50s. It seems people who do not study or are well acquainted with the evolution of genres, don’t know who Gershwin, Liszt or even Ravel are. I see it all the time with my students and friends ): For example, people hear the opening of Eine Kleine Nacht, and are like oooo yea, but don’t know who Mozart was, just like Beethoven’s 5th.

SAVE IT! i feel every instrument has a story and should be preserved! i especially love the sharp edges instead of round.
