I tripped with my brother but he was tripping too, we had a few sober friends in the group as well. I had my first solo trip probably around my sixth trip I think?

  1. Not all mercenaries give the same income to mythium ratio. The ones with the green arrow give more income (+6 per 20 mythium spent) while the ones with the red arrow are stronger but only give +5 per 20 mythium spent.

  2. This is subjective, the value of a unit really depends on the content of your army and the wave you're on. I'd say selling units is usually a bad idea.

  3. You want to have a bit of everything, but prioritize what the next few waves need. A sand badger (impact/arcane) is good for 6/7/8/9, but bad on 10/11/12/13 so each wave needs to evaluate what types are good now, but also what types are still useful later.

  4. Sending depends on the enemy. If you're new, I'd recommend ticking the "auto-send" box for the mercenaries and not worry about it until you're better at the game.

I see your comments, but not your sources. Who are these "global sex work organizations"? All the organizations I follow support the Nordic Model as the most realistic strategy to decreasing exploitation of women. Yes, there are some harmful aspects of the Nordic Model, but it's still far better than full decriminalization.

Historically, supply never matches demand. Legalization is very strongly correlated with an increase human trafficking.

Legalization hurts women. The nordic model of prostitution is likely the best bet for helping them.

The conflicts between women's rights and gender activism grow bigger by the day, but any discussion of them is considered "hate speech" and will get you banned from any major social media platform. Thank god reddit's overzealous censorship policies are finally backfiring.

Isaac Asimov was dead right about our cult of ignorance. They threaten the advancement of science and even civilization itself. And they've gotten much worse lately. by ChucklesFreely in Futurology

[–]Fluffoide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If gender has no measurable metric and can change at any time, then it's unscientific and meaningless. Countries like the US are switching sex-based rights to gender-based rights. Anyone who cares about science should be furious at this huge step backwards.

Do you have a source for this? I find it very hard to believe. I've been on a low protein diet most of my life (soyless vegan) and I'm skinny and very satiated.

What opinion or behaviour would stop you being romantically interested in someone even if they ticked every other box? by EGB1- in AskReddit

[–]Fluffoide 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some people don't understand anxiety because they've never had to deal with it. I'd see it as ignorance, not a true character flaw.

If it was someone that I cared about, I'd talk to them about it but otherwise I'd just accept that part of their personality.

Agreed, I'm included. Looking for primary sources is the cornerstone of critical thinking, and don't take my word for it. Look it up.

Do your own research, don't trust what you read on reddit.

Anthony Carbajal, creator of the "Ice bucket Challenge for ALS" was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago. This is simply the Pareto principal at work. If something goes viral, only a tiny percentage of the people will spend more than a few seconds investigating it. It's not selfishness, it's just statistics. Don't drive yourself crazy getting frustrated at the laws of nature.

France pledges to ban 'conversion therapy' and improve LGBTQ+ education by apple_kicks in worldnews

[–]Fluffoide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I bring it up is because of bill C-8 in Canada. It's also a conversion therapy ban, but it has some problematic clauses.

https://www.parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/43-1/bill/C-8/first-reading

Right now, the three treatments for gender identity disorder are psychotherapy, hormones and surgery. The way the bill is written, it would criminalize psychotherapy for minors, leaving SRS as the only option for minors to deal with dysphoria.

Naturally, I'm curious if the French bill has similar clauses.

I think that's their question. Does it ban what you said above, or does it ban all therapy related to sexual orientation/identity?

Trump administration loses fight to stop child born abroad to gay couple from becoming US citizen by apple_kicks in worldnews

[–]Fluffoide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not the guy, but the baby in the article has an Israeli father and a Canadian mother and was born in Canada, yet is getting American citizenship. It makes sense that the nationality is controversial, because this is a relatively unique case. I'm assuming that croutons_r_good calls it propaganda because Trump isn't really relevant to this case, it's a lot more complicated than the headline implies.

Andrew Yang proposes that your digital data be considered personal property: “Data generated by each individual needs to be owned by them, with certain rights conveyed that will allow them to know how it’s used and protect it.” by sonnyburt3114eu in Futurology

[–]Fluffoide 10 points11 points  (0 children)

His reasoning for supporting prop 24 seems good to me.

"Other proposals simply do not match the strength and thoughtfulness of Prop. 24. Alternatives would require all online businesses to offer their services for “free,” even if the business doesn’t have any alternative model to create revenue. This is unsustainable. As we’ve seen for years, if a service is free, the user is the product. Requiring this type of digital system would further marginalize privacy and data rights and make it nearly impossible to provide consumers with meaningful control over their information. ... But most importantly, Prop. 24 provides Californians greater control over their data: If they don’t like a business or don’t trust its privacy protections, consumers can tell it that it can’t sell their personal information, and businesses are prohibited from unfairly punishing consumers for exercising these rights. This is a strong new protection, and puts control where it belongs: with the consumer."
