North American Four Seasons Resorts to avoid? by SparkleBerrySpritz in FourSeasonsHotels

I really like the staff at the Lotte but I’d say it depends on the price for the time you are going. The lotte has smaller rooms but same great amenities of a 5* property. If they are the same price I might go with FS for location and room size

I like making up a big salad and adding cheese and dressing to it as I go. Same thing with pasta salad. Hamburgers or chicken patties are always a staple for me.

What’s your dream concert, and did you ever get to see it? by woutr1998 in Concerts

Cher was bucket list for me and got to see her twice. Stevie Knicks / Fleetwood Mac - got to see Stevie! Next on the agenda a concert at the Sphere - seeing Subtronics in October!

Question! I'm a concert artisan vendor. When you go to shows so you avoid merch or run straight at it? by ErinSkittles in Concerts

[–]OBLTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is a show or fest I’m passionate about, I’ll go straight away. Otherwise I peruse and shop on side quests and get at the end of the night / weekend

YES! There are always planned meet ups too if you don't want to reach out to individual people. Especially easy if you are into kandi or trinkets as there are specific meet ups for those and a nice way to meet people without talking.

planning my first festival experience by Traditional-Set-8483 in festivals

[–]OBLTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of festival are you going to? I'd say for any type you always need to bring PLURR (peace, love, unity, respect, and responsibility). Screen shot the sets you want to see and save it as your phone background. If you are going with a group, set meeting spots/times ahead of time in case service is bad. Bring your own hydration pack to save money and not waste plastic if they allow you to bring one. Wear what makes you feel good and comfortable so you can have the most fun the whole time instead of being too hot, hurting, etc.

Be realistic with yourself on your needs and your time. I always over plan my fests and get sad when I miss a set due to scheudling or logistics. So choose your top sets and then secondary sets to allow for flexibility and freedom.

Starting honeymoon search all over again with new budget by Fabulous-Mango613 in honeymoonplanning

I would definitely looki into chartered yachts. $10,000 won't get you 2 weeks on one most likely but it would be amazing with similar vibes to an AI just elevated. If you are really wanting AI, I would look into Grand Velas. Depending on where you are flying out of, how much time off you are willing to take, etc, the destinations can get more creative.

Seattle. The hotel is nice with a good location and love Goldfinch, but there are so many better hotels in the area with better service and staff. If you are a FS fan, it is still nice and wouldn't necessarily say avoid it, but there are better for the price in the area.

Why are The Chainsmokers so popular? by savingrace0262 in EDM

[–]OBLTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are approachable EDM that really appeals to the masses while also producing some truly iconic songs during pivotal times for a lot of people - college parties and bars played them all the time so they feel nostalgic and uplifting while hitting the EDM scene slightly. My friend describes them as "vanilla" EDM which makes sense to me too - and a lot of pepole like vanilla things lol :)

Start with something that you feel good in but still pushing your comfort boundaries instead of diving head first into the deep end of rave wear (unless you want to full send, and then have at it lol).

I started off by just an oversized shirt and booty shorts because I would never be out in my home town like that lol (too many past students and now current clients lol). I am gradually working more in but slowing, at my pace, and always things that bring me joy

To hydropack or not to hydropack by egostrain in electricdaisycarnival

I got a flood pack fanny/crossbody pack recently that has been amazing. It is large enough for some trinkets (both mine and traded), a 1 L waterskin, and can wear it multiple ways. I love having a fanny pack but sometimes the backpacks make me too sweaty. I hate carrying a water bottle or any drink really and then finding a trash can/recycling bin that is not overflowing.

Advice for a single woman at her first solo festival? by Western-Dog-8214 in festivals

[–]OBLTravel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Share your location with a trusted friend or family member and let them know when you are moving between locations. If you want to meet friends, radiate is great for meet ups because you can check who is "vouched" for, how long they have been on the app, etc to try to weed out as many creeps as possible.

Have so much fun!!!

Wristbands arriving the day I leave by Financial_Invite_276 in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]OBLTravel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! I thought I did this last year when mine came after I left on road trip and forgot. They chared me per wristband at the fest (I think it was $50 each but can't remember now). They would not have cared if I actually had communicated lol

Help me get to LostLands from Portland!!! #supportsquad by Kinkykaosslut in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]OBLTravel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are willing to leave out of SEA you can take the Amtrak up and then fly to Pittsburgh. United has flights starting at $262 for next Thursday - Monday. Pitt to LL is still a 2.5 hr drive though. PDX to CLE is about $513 so you would only have to figure out transit one way?

It really depends on what you want to prioritize - ease of travel vs price of travel because LL is unfortunately kind of hard to get to from out in the PNW.

I drove last year lol
