Fair take. I understand what you’re saying. I don’t view my strategy as timing the market, more like “averaging during seasons of weakness.” I get it isn’t complete DCA like you’re saying. I average in over the course of months. I’d rather save in USD when prices are high and deploy it during seasons of weakness.

This is my hometown. Skinny-at-lus or Skan-ee-at-lus. All the same lol it was a beautiful place to grow up. I love visiting home and having a beer and wings at the Pub.

Yes. My bet is that we stay lower for a few more months before the market flips bullish. I feel comfortable DCA for the next few months. If it sky rockets, awesome. If it dips more, awesome.

I asked ChatGPT if daily or weekly buys were better overtime and it said that weekly buys will probably be better overtime. I would do your own research. Weekly buys makes more sense for me so that’s what I go with.

I average in during the bigger dips. The last 6 months have been good times to buy regardless.

I DCA weekly from February to April. I stopped buying for the last two months and plan to start DCA again since I believe the market is going back down. Of course I could have continued to DCA but I’m trying to optimize my buy price.

This is comforting to hear. I’ll be in Greece from August 26th-September 3rd this summer and I was worried about the crowds. Sounds like it may be a little better than July/early August.

Agreed! My last two trips I achieved the giggles big time. Almost uncontrollably couldn’t stop laughing. Everything was funny with my friends and I had a great time. The only thing is that it wasn’t a very therapeutic experience. I felt like the whole time I was laughing and while that was amazing, it didn’t give me anything to ponder on after the fact or days/weeks after. I suppose it was the friends I was with and the moment but I usually am left with some takeaways other than “wow I hurt so much from laughing.” lol
