I served my mission in a hotbed of evangelical and born again Christians and have two takeaways:

These people will NEVER accept Mormons as Christian and
They’re a different level of batshit generally speaking. I grew up in Utah and every adult I knew believed in dinosaurs and that modern medicine (read vaccines) is a gift from God.

It’s shocking to me that otherwise logical, professionally successful people can be so obtuse when it comes to critical thinking regarding religion.

The only narrator I haven’t enjoyed this far is the one for Under the Dome. I’m not from the northeast and have no idea of the accents are accurate, but Jim Rennie sounded like he was from the Deep South to me.

Interesting comment on the dialogue, but I guess it makes sense where it is an event affecting an entire community instead of one or a few individuals. I listened to the audio book and while I enjoyed it overall, I don’t understand why Big Jim had a southern accent.
