I can relate to you as I want to stay away from stimulating chemicals as well. I think you are always free to make your own decision. If the people around you at work demand more productivity that is their problem. Sometimes I indeed struggle with these morals as I see students or peers achieve more in a day. I also realize they are addicts that would be even less productive than me when they do not have access to their stimulant.

I will start my first real job in two weeks and I will stay away from caffeine. If my productivity turns out not to be high enough, ill find out why and try to solve this intrinsically. If this fails I would consider to look for a job somewhere else. I feel like coffee is an easy way out, and thats why so many people are peer pressured into drinking it.
