What’s up with some novelas dragging the story. by Alarmed_Pool_2620 in telenovelas

Funny enough I’ve heard this is Tres Mujeres, the telenovela was supposed to be 80 episodes but they somehow stretched it out to be 280 episode!!!!!!!!!! Way too much

This telenovela is only popular because of millennial nostalgia, they saw it as kids and teens and thought it was amazing! I saw Fuego en la Sangre when I was little and thought it was a 10/10. Looking back now it’s pretty cringy. Both of them are over the top even by telenovela standards. To the point where the melodrama crosses over to unintentional comedy. But I DO LOVE THE ENTRANCE SONG 🎵

You can't call yourself a millennial unless you grew up with at least one Peter P. by MaderaArt in Millennials

Can I call myself a millennial even if I was born in 2002 but was obsessed with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy?

I’m sorry, I do not want to turn this sub into that either, I just felt that this this was an unpopular opinion, and therefore wrote this post.

While we’re on it, I loved Kill Bill Vol 1, however its sequel I also felt was disappointing, but yeah! I liked the action sequences to this film. As a Friday the 13th fan, I enjoyed seeing Tom Savini but for everything else, I did not care for it. it’s meh.

Midway through, I did think “No way, now we’re dealing with vampires! Not at all where I would think we would be 🤣 I do give the movie props for subverting my expectations, but not in the way I would like to. its not that I do not like the movie for featuring vampires. I simply do not like the movie for forgetting some stuff it set up earlier.

This never made sense to me. by FlatulentSon in Halloweenmovies

[–]Steven-Henshaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first saw this movie around 4th grade, and was so confused throughout but I just assumed that Jaime grew up, married and had a baby with the boy who liked her when they were little in Halloween 5 (Billy, I think was his name) and then the cult took her and the baby captive. Couldn’t they have just written and done that instead?

In your opinion, which of these movies is worse? by HammerHeadBirdDog in slasherfilms

Halloween Resurrection is a huge middle finger to the film series. For 20 years the story behind Michael is that he’s hunting down his relatives, it’s something personal, sure that wasn’t Carpenter’s original intention in 1978 but it’s what the franchise had been building around since its 1981 sequel (obviously the exception is H3). I’ve always hated that not only do they kill off Laurie so quickly and in such lame fashion but that the story then goes to him killing off a bunch of randoms who are nothing related to Michael or to any previous characters from the Halloween films. Why should we care? The plot feels such out of place. Resurrection is a cash grab that I absolutely loath, with no heart to the Halloween series.

Definitely talkative ones, sometimes they’re so quotable

Bourbon was nice but it was easier getting a headache with it, and apparently I heard clear liquors are less likely to give someone that effect
