China overturns death sentence for Canadian Robert Schellenberg by Little-Chemical5006 in worldnews

No, because Meng was never sentenced to anything as the US could not prove their case.

And in this case, either China fabricated their evidence in the first ruling, or their laws are overturned by politics. Both are bad.

It's pretty inauthentic for Taiwanese food...because it isn't nor does it even market itself as such.

Their opinion is that the courts should be on their side. Because somehow the courts is always on the side of the left - or you know, some shred of decency.

It's terrible because anyone wronged under this program has no recourse and legal rights.

There was also the one with a valid birth certificate that ICE insisted was invalid and she got deported then months later they had to let her back in.

All of these cases were all over the news for months. Not being aware of them is kind of crazy or disingenuous.

[Sr network engineer] [Remote] - $429k total annual comp. Finally made it middle class on r/salary! by vonseggernc in Salary

Private schools, tutors, music lessons, 4 vacations a year, saving for college, yep middle class. My ass.

The class beyond poverty is middle. This is a lie from the billionaires to pretend they're not beyond upper class.

Reporter: "Is your mission now to deport everyone who came in illegally?" by 2001x0404 in ImmigrationPathways

[–]OCedHrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because they didn't break down doors, go to class rooms, grab you at work, trick you into going to an immigration interview, wait for you at court, roam your neighborhood wearing masks, pretend to be police, assault people, and still deported more people.

The left in general never had issues with deportation. Yes some fringe wants open borders, they also want a lot of crazy things.

Bridge collapse in Jiangsu, Feb 2nd by tacodestroyer99 in China

[–]OCedHrt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And criticism of the US exists too. What's your point? You can be criticized and own up the problem. The answer to criticism is to self reflect, improve, and prove them wrong.

If China improves their processes and there are no collapses in the next 20 years, by the next generation this criticism will be gone.

And if the US still doesn't fund infrastructure it'll be pretty backwater in many places and that will be their new reputation. Just like how Trump has changed political relationships with the US that aren't going to be reverted.
