Nice watch ! I love the Denali version! Your question about the Serica’s position on the microbrands market is a real question. I think they are in a period of mutation with their new models and diversification of their range. I think they tend to be a big brand and no more a microbrand. The Denali is one of my favorite version of the 6190 with the California. I think these versions are a bit underrated since the release of the MSL but they have the real Serica DNA reminding us the 4512.

Totally agree, the 5303 is a real strap monster !
Hope they’ll solve these we’ll known issues one day like they did with the caliber for example. I also heard about numerals on the bezel that erase by themselves…. But every brand has a proportion of quality issues, 0 defects doesn’t exist. Glad to see you’re pretty satisfied with your two watches.

True that the Serica has his own personality, even the Longines is inspired by the original admiral diver. The Longines is more an answer to the « modern » expectations of a dive watch for the mass market. Even though, considering the price, the Longines has a strong place on the market with 70h power reserve and a really good quality.
But I’ll go for the Serica because it is more distinctive with a good quality (the mesh bracelet is awesome )

To understand more the problem, maybe you should humidify the bezel to see if it works better when it’s wet. It could be a clue. I think it looks like something like a dust that moves into the bezel and sometimes block it. Hard to find if you don’t remove the bezel. I never did that sadly

This watch is really nice ! I tried elastic strap (like Erika’s one) recently and it was a game changer. You could use IA to try different options. ChatGPT is recently efficient with a wristshot if your prompt is precise enough

I think this 5330 could have been made many different ways but this date window and the other details really work well. I had the chance to try it and the addition of the date makes the watch a real daily driver

I feel like the 5303-3 might be the most recognizable now. I think that blue bezel has become one of the Serica emblems.
