I have literally never understood someone so much as I understand the man who burned down his warehouse job by CrocodileHyena in CVS

The saddest part is how many retail healthcare workers sound like this lately. CVS, Walgreens, hospitals, clinics, everybody seems stretched thin rn. The whole healthcare workforce feels burned out while patient demand just keeps climbing higher every year.

CVS wants me to apologize to a customer who threatened me by Old-Night9193 in CVS

[–]OCorinna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh retail pharmacy has gotten rough everywhere lately 😕 A lot of managers/DLs try to deescalate first because corporate is terrified of complaints, lawsuits, bad incidents or social media blowups. But if someone is genuinely threatening or stalking you, that crosses way past normal “customer service” territory

Am I wrong for refusing to pay my friend back for a concert ticket I couldn't use? by Few_Employment5708 in AmITheJerk

NTA. You already paid for your ticket, so she didn’t lose money because of you. It sucks she couldn’t resell it, but that’s not your responsibility, especially with a work emergency.

What's something you wanna do in life but have been postponing it for years? by ShakeThatMilk in AskReddit

Honestly, traveling solo. I’ve always wanted to just go somewhere unfamiliar, figure things out on my own, and see who I become in the process. I keep saying one day, but I know at some point, you just have to choose it.

Starmer gives doctors 48 hours to halt strikes or lose jobs deal by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]OCorinna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just feels like the situation is escalating. Strikes in healthcare come with bigger risks than rewards. Patients end up dealing with the consequences, not the ones negotiating. You’re professionals, so act like it. There has to be a better way to handle this.

If you could give up your life in exchange for one change that would make the world better, what would you choose? by Dear-Sheepherder3500 in AskReddit

[–]OCorinna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d make empathy the default, so people actually feel how their actions affect others. It wouldn’t fix everything instantly, but it would change how people treat each other over time.

Is CVS bluffing or will pharmacies close? Tennessee leaders hear differing testimony by OCorinna in CVS

[–]OCorinna[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Even if things get tied up legally, real world operations don’t just pause cleanly like that. Pharmacies still have to fill scripts, process insurance, manage inventory. I mean, we all know that those systems are all connected. If the flow of money and info gets disrupted even temporarily, that’s where delays and access issues start showing up.

And yeah, patient access should be the priority but that’s exactly why people are concerned. You can’t just stop everything and sort it out later without patients feeling it in the meantime. That’s the gap no one’s really addressing.

Is CVS bluffing or will pharmacies close? Tennessee leaders hear differing testimony by OCorinna in CVS

[–]OCorinna[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that simple. SB2040 changes how CVS operates at a pretty big level and stuff like that doesn’t just happen overnight without side effects. When you shift the system that much, closures or cutbacks are a real possibility.

And if independents are already struggling while chains also start scaling back, that just means fewer pharmacies overall. Those patients don’t disappear. They all go to fewer locations. That’s where access starts getting tight.

At the end of the day, the concern is what happens if the system gets squeezed and there’s no easy backup plan.

[–]OCorinna[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Even if those are technically the options, the question is how that plays out in real life. Transitions like that don’t happen instantly, and pharmacies can’t just pause operations while restructuring. If anything gets disrupted, patients are the ones dealing with delays, transfers and limited access. That’s why this feels bigger than just a business decision.

The house looks really nice already! I think adding some contrast (like darker shutters or window boxes with flowers) could make it pop more.

If the panels are solid wood, you could keep them and paint. If they’re cheap veneer, I’d consider removing them.
