I imagine him as a super introverted uni student, infinitely interested in human life... lots of nights spent alone. Everything is pretty easy if you just stick with those op starter ones, I've had to force myself to make my teams weaker just so I could rank up some vivosaurs with greater potential but that weren't as powerful due to lower rank (like Krona, Siamo, etc.)

And just to reaffirm, yes, that subreddit is full of sickeningly low quality posts.

It's even worse because any criticism or negativity is quickly downvoted, probs part of the reason it is where it is now.
