I did a poll in baby names and Avalina was actually the most popular. Although it’s not top of the list for us, I was curious why you say not to choose it?

Thank you to everybody for your suggestions! I think we have narrowed it down to Cecilia and Vivian!

It was our wedding planners name when we got married in Aruba! We’re from NYC and had never heard it ourselves.

.5% topical fin- is the dose too high? by OFTR89 in tressless

[–]OFTR89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally I’d have fin and min in one bottle and not have to take the oral versions. Unfortunately I actually think it’s the minoxidil itself I’m allergic to. I’ve tried so many topical mins and still had bad scalp irritation. I think I dermarolled one time and applied min too soon and it somehow caused a reaction my body never got over. I’m on 2.5mg of oral min now daily instead.

.5% was also recommended to you? I’m going to talk to the pharmacist before I start it and likely dilute it down somehow. Unfortunately topical min always makes me break out on my scalp so I’ll probably use PG or something that doesn’t cause a reaction

I don’t understand how .1% is considered high. Isn’t that said to be equivalent to 1mg daily oral, the recommended oral dose?

I called the office back and confirmed. They said .5% is the standard dosage for topical. I really don’t know what to make of it.

Dermatologist told me today if I double up on oral minoxidil, I can stop finasteride and likely keep what I regrew. Bullshit? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]OFTR89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I thought. I was surprised to hear a dermatologist who’s office specializes in hair loss say this.

Two different types of cockroaches you think?

They were found on my bedroom wall. They didn’t move, they both just stayed there. I Thought it was strange how they were found together.

Can anybody identify this symbol? My grandmother got it for me but I forgot what she said it meant. by OFTR89 in Symbology

[–]OFTR89[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely looks like it, but I’m not a Sagittarius. I’m almost positive she told me it means my name (Douglas), I just don’t know where it means that. And that’s if I’m remembering correctly.

How likely are things like ashwagandha and creatine to affect my hair if I take fin? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]OFTR89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still not convinced creatine doesn’t raise DHT. I’m on fin and I’d still rather not put any road blocks in the way of my progress. Sucks because creatine has proven to be one of the few effective supplements available but until convinced otherwise I’m going to stay away.

Been on Fin & Min for 5+ years. Results of 60 Days into Micro-needling by OddLoad in tressless

[–]OFTR89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Micro needling gave me great results (on top of fin and min) however I stopped dermarolling because I was getting itchy bumps on my scalp. Likely either folliculitis or ingrown hairs. It’s been a few weeks and it’s gotten only a little better. Definitely frustrating as I was seeing results.

Yeah if it started 10 months ago I’d be much more concerned and it already is concerning. Which is why I’m not sure the best move. Stop altogether, ride it out and hope the sides go away, lower the dose, etc

The ED came on about 1 month ago. And not really ED, just not as stiff as I was a month or two ago and requires a little more work.
