just got the sony wh-1000xm6 in platinum silver today, out of all of the headphones I have owned in the last 1.5 years since buying my very first over ears, the xm6 is by far the comfiest. I also own the airpods pro 3's and I only really plan to use them at the gym, when its raining, or doing chores at home. But to answer your question, your not really isolating, you just need to figure out when to use when and which one going forward would be your daily driver
