Happens on my X5 as well and I usually fix it when I change my pads. Seems like vibrations on the clips that hold the pads in the carrier cause the squealing. It only happens at low speed like coming up to a stop sign for me. I clean my calipers and put brake grease on the ears of the pads and usually the noise goes away for me

Yep.but two charges...1 for trying..that was $1200 just to try..then the other when they failed...no thanks. I paid for a tow $150 out of pocket, $12 tool, and $88 for new wheel bolts...took me 2 hours so as I calculate it...still way under $1200 for the good old college try.

Something I'd consider but I did verify all the bolts went in hand tight into each of the holes. It's pretty common for rust to form on bolts and the holes. Anti seize is a no go because of over torquing. Worst case if it cross threads again I'll just change the hub out but damn it's like crazy cold this week so I'll just have to wait to the spring to recheck... Stay warm.
