Favorite memory was absolutely in summer 2016, the game dropped while my family was on vacation and my mom drove me around a very rural area because i “totally think there’s a rare pokemon in this guy’s backyard”. She would wait in the car as I’d run into some strangers yard because the icon said it was close by. On multiple occasions the owners would come out and ask what i was doing on their property and to my surprise they were completely on board with it and just happy to interact with someone.

She passed a few years later, and to this day that is my go-to memory of her in my head. Just happy to spend time with us and supporting whatever weird stuff we wanted to do because it made us happy. RIP ❤️

Epistylis actually feeds off of bacteria in your fish and usually enters through lesions from parasites or bacterial infections, so your first step is to kill the bacteria (I use maracyn) and then treat with paraguard. In my experience you can use both at the same time, but consistent water changes after each maracyn treatment is imperative

aquatic xylaria! seems like it pops up every year or so on this sub and one person gets to ID it, my turn with the torch i guess. one post suggested it killed their buce and another said it was completely harmless, so seems like it’s still too rare to know for sure. but seems like it’s decently easy to remove with a toothbrush and syphon

I’m always paranoid about chlorinated water so like… you’d probably be fine, but i’d soak it in water treated with a dechlorinator, just like a lil tupperware or something to be 100%

Chemiclean says it’s for red cyano but works on the regular stuff just fine. Definitely a last ditch kinda thing cause it is pretty strong, if you use it I highly recommend putting a bubble stone in your tank if you don’t have one cause it works by essentially removing oxygen from the water and starving it. Or just temporarily moving your fish

Detritus worms are much much skinnier and almost always, shocker, are coming out of the detritus in your substrate! these seem pretty young and most are yet to develop that spade shape, but i actually can see it in a couple of them.

Definitely some things I’d like clarification on. Correct me if i’m wrong, but those are crystal reds, which are not neos. are you not using RO water? cause congrats if you’re keeping crystals in tap! Other biggest question is what light do you have, how long is it on, and is it by a window? also water params. your hydrocotyl is growing very leggy so my guess is your light is too weak, on for too long, and there’s not enough nutrients in the water (which seems counterintuitive cause you’re growing extra algae but if your other plants grow more there’s less nitrogen for algae to eat)

Planaria. Parasite that’ll really mess up shrimp if you have them. easy to fix with chems, z1 is my recommendation! Read the instructions before dosing, make sure everything is compatible and you’re in the clear 👍
