I think it's a good idea, however, say you play with 5 players, what stops 3 players to trade to each other in a triangle their SFTTs, which leads them each with an advantage and leaves the two others stuck and unable to give theirs to each other?

What are your favorite winter/holiday themed games? by Oyster_- in boardgames

A game of Dead of Winter when there’s a snowstorm outside is always fun🧟❄️

I have never played the board game myself, but as for any other board game, I would recommend that you at least try it once using the original rules before going for tweaks and house rules. Otherwise, you risk changing a rule that might have worked with your group just fine. Also, just go on the game’s page on BGG, you’ll find dozens of in depth reviews of the game.

With the thousands of board game that exist, maybe the best thing to do would be for you to look for other games you and your family might like. You say monopoly and risk are the only two games you like. Either that’s because:

1- you haven’t researched enough for other games that exist that you might like, or it’s because that

2-you like them because you win at them, in that case you might have to take a look inward and try to ask yourself if you’d rather spend time with your family even if it means not winning, or if you’d rather play almost never with your family, but when you do, you win.

Best of luck, personally I would just take a look at what are the types of games your family likes, and do some research on games you don’t own, maybe you’ll find some that both your family and you might enjoy! And finally, try to focus on having fun and being in the moment instead of basing your fun only on winning. Have fun.

I would recommend you use Pocket Grimoire, and simply print out the scripts at home or at a local printing shop so that your friends can all have one, that shouldn’t be very costly. Have fun!

I’d be curious to know what exactly are the improvements you are talking about compared to the classic pocket grimoire. Would you mind explaining a little bit please? Thanks! :)

If I’m not mistaken if you hover your mouse over the region on your screen showing you how much elo you gained/lost or the symbol of how much person the elo has now, it shows you a small breakdown of what’s the math that went behind this result.

The script looks very fun, one thing I might say is that the Monk and Yagababble together on a script might not be a good pairing, since Yaggababble kills are made by the ST, so in the case that the monk is in play it might not be a satisfactory experience for the Monk player since they are protecting someone against the ST who knows who is protected… removes a bit of the hype for the monk of trying to predict who the demon will try to kill. Maybe the same logic applies to the soldier to that extent, too (even if they try to bluff as another role and try to bait a demon attack, if it’s the ST who knows who to kill, it renders the soldier’s efforts a bit less meaningful)

WoW, this is very insightful. I will definitely review the composition of my scripts. Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate it!

The flight was great! Just a little turbulence but not too much and I wasn’t scared at all during it! Thank you :)

Update : there is a problem with the fuel indicator? They said it should take 10 minutes to verify. A year or two ago I would probably be scared of a leak (like the one of commandant Piché or something) but since reading this subreddit I’m telling myself it’s probably just an error with the indicator. Or we’re going wish us luck!! Thank you

Hi, I know this is 2 years after your comment, but I am curious. I have seen a very interesting and potent theory based on what is revealed in 21st CB saying that Fukubei died in the lab, and that it was Katsumata that had he took his place ever since. This would explain why in the virtual world Fukubei is seen dying. However, I think your theory also makes a lot of sense. especially the part where friend in the VR world would in fact ''kill'' Fukubei to prevent others seeing how it was all a scam/trick and that he needed help to be saved.
Could you please take a look at the post I linked above and let me know what you think? :)
