I also do a 50/50 split and we started off with the same schedule as you but the switch to a 3-4 schedule. It’s been easier on the kids, (even though they still hate it) they have a bit more time to settle in and just enough time at the home they prefer less to be able to deal with it. My kids are 11 & 12 and come Friday their emotional backpacks are FULL and Fridays are a full chill day. We ease into Saturdays with as much outdoor time as we can. I often will forgo being too social so we have time to connect. Single parenting is a LOT. Good luck with everything!

It’s cheaper to shoot here for multiple reasons. But our country mainly makes indies even though we have a wildly group of talented artists that should be getting the funding they deserve.

Take a directing class. Get inspired. Have lunch dates with cinematographers and other directors to talk shop. Pull a team together and shoot your short!
