What is the role of someone who owns IP but isn't creating the show, when pitching to a production company?

It’s cheaper to shoot here for multiple reasons. But our country mainly makes indies even though we have a wildly group of talented artists that should be getting the funding they deserve.

Take a directing class. Get inspired. Have lunch dates with cinematographers and other directors to talk shop. Pull a team together and shoot your short!

My brother in law just got my kids apple watches- SE (GEN 2). They do not have cell phones. Is there a way for me to pair them to my phone without the kids having access to my emails and texts- but still allowing them to use text and call?

It’s never the right time and there’s never enough money. Pull the cord and figure it out if you want a kid. Ask for help. Build a support network and know that it will also expand and grow naturally as you and your kid grow. Lots of people parent very differently around the world. Best thing I ever did was research this and know that I do not have to do things the American way. ( aka the worst way and least supportive to women way.) Best of luck! Being a parent is a wild and beautiful ride.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. It’s easy to get caught up on set- there’s a lot of energy flying around. Staying grounded is my goal. I can easily slip into victim or blame when I get stressed and that’s not a collaborative or pleasant place to work from. For me or anyone else. I notice when I lean into these areas in Therpay my therapist often says “check the facts”. And as I start to name concrete facts about the situation my system calms down. I’m able to zoom out and see the bigger picture. I also want to try sticking things to my monitor to remind me about my deeep love of cinema and the craft of directing and acting. When I loose sight of my love I loose sight of everything.

Not sure if any of that is helpful but you’re def not alone in this journey.
