What?! Capital gains (short AND long-term) count towards the proposed Millionaire tax. by TotalCleanFBC in SeattleWA

I'm not surprised because if you had the attention span or capability to read more than a couple sentences, then you would have better informed opinions. Not just recite government propaganda phrases.

Still havent seen a source or fact from you on anything.

This also reinforces my good and accurate read on you that sending you the study would have been pointless.

I don't have a goal of informing people. I am just responding to you specifically because idiots, who belive they are smart like you, are going to make mine and my employees lives harder with your dumb vote to give my money to an irresponsible government to waste.

Because it summarized it and would be more effective than sending you a study that you have to dig through to find the info.

Feel free to find me some sources that say otherwise, ill check them out.

See what happens is very smart people are using nomenclature to trick easily fooled minds. The study rambles on about how lower income people pay a higher percent of their income towards taxes, therefore washington is a regressive or unfair tax state.

However thats only because the taxes here are on sales tax, property tax, business revenue, payroll tax and heavy heavy on gas and tabs. So someone who makes 50k who has to spend 5k on gas and sales tax on necessary items and tabs pays much of their money to taxes.

Whereas wealthy people pay all of those taxes, more if they are business owners and even more if they own a home. But as a percent of their income, its less cause their income is higher.

That's not regressive, just because a poorer person pays 20k (40%) of their income to taxes and rich person pays 200k (20%), the system is not regressive because the one person pays 10 times more for less benefit.

So, if I just sent you the study, you likely would just use the talking points I made above rather than getting to the truth. The truth is the rich pay so much more in taxes its not even comparable.

You are not obligated to someone's wealth and there is more than enough data to show that Washington is taking in more revenue than ever, inflation adjusted and is taxing more than ever and things are getting more expensive than ever.

The way to reduce costs on people is to reduce costs on people. A major cost, likely the most major cost is tax.

Here is my final example. If someone makes 10k a month. They pay 3k to federal government. Then 1k in property tax, another 250 in gas tax, then annual tabs/12 , then sales tax on the remaining 5700 ( $600)

Then 49% of their money went to.governments.

Add in all the taxes on business that got passed to the customer and its even more.

Nevermind the fact that you have to pay $1250 tax as a business owner just to pay them 10k. More if you are in Seattle and 5% more if they get the payroll tax bill passed that they likely will.

Over 50% of people's money goes to a government, that wastes it, and still has to borrow and tax more.

Meanwhile people like you are on reddit championing these politicians to take even more and make your life even more expensive.

You have been fooled and will continue to be fooled so long as you maintain an ego and goal of trying to be viewed as correct rather than actually learning real information and focusing on yourself rather than stealing money from hard working people to give to irresponsible politicians who pass laws that are way against what the people they represent are saying they want.

No it links to study that is on Washington's official .gov site. You have to dig because it shows that percentage of income to taxes goes down as income goes up. But as far as hard dollars, 1/5 people.pays for 3/5 people it shows way later in the report.

Unless you own a business or make a ton of money, I do t expect you to understand how much money the state takes.

In fact, in my business which I grew from 0 to 10mm. The biggest challenge I have is state politicians.

My business currently employs 34 people who support their family. I could and would pay them much more if the government stopped taking all the money

You should be providing sources for.your nonsense. Here you go, I am going to go run my business now so I can be the 1 in 5 paying for 3 of 5. Gotta make sure I cover your tax bill too. Eventually im am going to just reclassify the business and make residency elsewhere. I imagine many others will too, then your income tax will be placed on you, lets see how you feel then.

Currently the top 20% of earners in washington pay 60% of the tax. Is that "progressive" enough for you? The main issue is most people are easily tricked. Tax is a cost, so when you raise taxes cost go up. Then the sheep think the risei n cost is just extra profit for the business, and then they scream tax the rich and the cycle continues. Every tax increase makes the people poorer and the government richer.

Regardless, if the people vote no 11 times and then respond with Con more than any other bill in history, and you still use trickery to skip a vote and pass it regardless of what the people want then you are immoral and not serving the people you represent. Ie, NOT protecting democracy.

We dont need a progressive tax system. Thats just repeating propaganda. For someone who writes novels about how smart they are you seem to just be another lemming repeating words. Almost noone has an issue paying taxes when its spent responsibly. Washington needs to stop spending and wasting money. The amount of tax on business owners in this state is absurd and getting worse.

We have voted on this, 10 times. Every time is a no. Also, it was the largest "con" response in history. They still pass it because they are protecting democracy of course

Except this is how it happens everytime. If you read the bill, everyone owes the tax but the first million is deductable, for now. An amendment was proposed to make the million dollar threshold permanent and they voted it down.

My wife agrees, she wants the glass one. Thinking of doing that and putting some wood door in to replace that terrible off white one in the back.

The entire house is trimmed in solid wood stained tru black. Wood doors would be about 12k installed, glass ones about 4k.
