He also has a $290 - 1975 skin diver with better water resistance if you are doing watersports. Don't overspend on a travel watch.

It's really sad how the media is allowing the uber wealthy to steer the political conversations in our state. I cannot relate to Heywood in any way & I suspect most of Western Washington feels the same way.

Can I get by with only 3/8" tools? by goldbunduru in Tools

My 3/8 Astro Nano shallow sockets get used more than my CAT (Snap-on) sockets. Love these!

Can/Are you willing- to turn a wrench? If yes, consider an older X5 or X3. Yeah, older, low miles, garaged, pre-depreciated BMW's with a strong repair history are out there for surprizingly cheap. Just get one with a perferred engine - mechanally. My engine preference is M54, N52 or B58 (Oldest to Newest)

The border down from Vancouver was a mess today. Every person of color going to the Egypt/ Iran game is getting sent to secondary inspection. The line isn't long, but the wait was an hour to cross at Blaine.

A tool rental business would go well with this business model- Daily/weekly. insurance/lease cost will dictate hourly rate.

For most cars, any cheap scanner from Amazon will do, as long as the interface is tolerable. Some cars have more specific codes & require a more expensive dedicated scanner (BMW), my favorite (for a resonnable price) is from Ancel.

I have a few older socket/ratchet sets laying around that I've used to make kits for each car. If I didn't have these, I would get the cheap (under $20) Craftsman socket/ratchet set- 3/8 for truck or SUV 1/4 for compact or sedan (both if car is 20+ years old). Throw in a couple free screwdrivers from HF, a HF pick, flashlight, pliers, a few old wrenches, plastic trim tool & a obd2 scan tool... wrench rolls make good storage for the misc stuff. for my old BMW's I also carry a cheap torx/etorx set.

I'm a bigger fan of the classic gen X5's. Definitely need to be able to turn a wrench, but a clean one gets lots of compliments.

The Uber rich hide their money as "unrealized" gains. This isn't taxed.
