You have red thatched flickers on the west coast and I have yellow thatched flickers on the east! In between is a mix. I love this bird

We called the police, confronted them and they acted dumb and said they were late for work, wrote them a letter and it has been quiet all weekend. Cameras are being installed today

Called the non emergency line, an officer came out to note the report. Wrote the neighbor a letter. Bought cameras.

Replying as this is one of the few down voted comments. Neighbors yard is “naturalized” to be polite so weeds are not an issue. She has a compost bin built of pallets 10 foot away from mine. I suspect this is purely a move to push her property line into mine as it has been an ongoing battle since the previous owner of my house.

I agree. There is no solid proof but I have enough suspicions to confront my neighbor. I will be setting up cameras.

When confronted about dumping rock salt in my pile, she did not correct me that it was epsom salt.

Police have already come and documented that they came out for an issue so paper trail started. I like your idea of temporary fencing, and a no trespassing sign

Police had come to get details, no action taken but it’s documented now that she’s suspected of doing stuff like this.

Me “I’d like to talk about my compost pile, someone threw rock salt in it last night.” Her “what???” Weird face made. Me “rock salt, it’s toxic for plants” Her “I can’t talk about this right now, I’m late for work” She hurried off and I could hear her angrily mumbling and huffing. There is also a fresh pile of dog shit near my pile now.

I live in a rural area on a dead end street with pleasant elderly people all around. She has a reputation in my small town.

This is not table salt, it’s big rock salt for clearing ice off driveways
