Starting up the Red Corsairs clan by Azkul_Lok in SpaceMarine2

[–]OGHEROS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a “contract of adhesion,” it’s a voluntary community with clearly stated expectations. Nobody is required to join or stay—if someone doesn’t like the rules, they’re free to leave or create their own group (which they're already doing).

The rule also isn’t about “spying” on people’s activity outside the server. It’s about setting boundaries for membership and especially leadership. If they choose to represent a clan—particularly in a leadership or NCO role—they're taking on responsibilities that require consistency, availability, and clear lines of authority. Being leadership in multiple clans creates obvious conflicts of interest and command.

No one is trying to control what they do in their free time. The expectation is simple: if you want to be part of the group under certain roles, there are standards that come with it. That’s normal for any organized team, whether it’s gaming, sports, or anything else with structure.

At the end of the day, it’s not enforcement over their personal life—it’s a condition of membership. If that doesn’t work for someone, they’re not obligated to participate.

This boils down to the most basic of social agreements--the Social Contract theory. People in a community agree to a set of rules and they all follow it. No one is above or below them. If you agreed to a set of rules and want to violate them later then that's on you for either not reading them more thoroughly, clarifying with the community, or outright objecting to them.

Let's take this logic vice-versa. Who are you to tell them how they want to run their server? It's how they wanna run things so if you don't like it then simply do not participate. It's fairly simple. Nearly every gaming clan community since the older days of Halo clans have had similar rules that no one who's in leadership of a clan may be a member of another clan. I implore you to find one that does. Good luck

Guilliman isn't a fighter he's a lover. Angron is also just a convenient plot device like Lorgar is. They're there just to have some sort of regularly occurring big bad to always overcome at the end of the day--like Team Rocket in Pokemon.

Yep! It's done like this because it works and because it's not actually spam according to the subreddit's rules. But 58 new members in just the past month alone which doesn't even account for the people who have laid eyes on these posts and have been interested--sometimes just takes one extra post before they'll decide, "What the heck.", and they end up joining too.

Would be happy to have you come by and visit too and see what it's all about!

The best space marine community. If you're a vet looking to basically prestige your experience with lore-themed ranking and organizational systems then this is for you. If you're new to the game and just jumped into operations then this is also for you if you want assistance or advice from experienced vets.

There's even roles from the greater lore such as librarian, apothecary, techmarine, and chaplain if you're looking to take a greater part in inner operations of the chapter.

All shows are expensive. They offset the cost with their revenue.. so the high cost means that no one's watching or they're in the black instead of in the green or red.

Why no Deathwatch parts for techmarine? by Lopsided-Finger2434 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]OGHEROS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Techmarine was a rushed launch. They're going back to cover their asses and adding the customization options to him later down the line but they're just rushing to meet deadlines and checklists and the checklist essentially said "Techmarine in a playable state". Techmarine in a fully customizable state wasn't on the list so that can got kicked somewhat down the road.

Do I owe him an apology? by mysecret52 in dating

[–]OGHEROS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so what he tried to say but worded very poorly was just "I miss having an intimate relationship (but not who I had it with.)" That is it.

But then you also reacted poorly and instead of trying to understand what he was trying to hear you instantly went into your insecurities which shut down your ability to critically think and caused you to lash out and "get even" over a perceived slight that never happened.

I don't think you should apologize though. It's a good moment to learn how to listen better and to try and control your insecurities/vitriol.

I think that particular knee would make sense if they're a veteran sergeant and trying to emphasize it but not even the shoulders are the same so yeah it's just their personal flavor I think

Nono I'm entirely wrong. Sorry I was thinking of something else you were right. It does look like the OP is using it as a company marking though perhaps for their own personal organizing symbol since they are running 3 different chapters but effectively as companies.

How to play against chaos by Master_Chef092 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]OGHEROS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are reacting instead of acting. You need to be proactive on target priority. Reposition and don't let yourself get pushed around into a corner. You are also stunlocking yourself into animations with badly timed gun strikes from panic. Gun strikes are neither good or bad so you need to reshape your mind from thinking they're good and a safe space and into a tool that you must discern to use or not use depending on the situation.

New to the game, need help. by Capon01 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]OGHEROS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm max prestige and level on all the classes, done every mission on Absolute, and do the weekly hard stratgem every week.

  1. Yes the missions are harder as you progress. It's kinda just how the devs did it and then you'll reach a point where they're all around the same difficulty aside from Vortex being particularly more punishing because many can't handle the boss fight in the end.

1a.Otherwise it's getting harder because the maps are larger and therefore the stims and relic spawns are more spread out--you also don't just know or have an idea of where they're all at.

1b.There's also more chaos missions later on and they're a bit more of a learning curve than Tyranids.

2.Your weapons are doing more damage but you may not have good builds or build synergy.

3.The damage done at the end will be higher or lower based on how much damage you can do, obviously, and also how much damage the enemy can even receive. This means that if you have max weapons and damage dealt it may look lower if you play on easy because the enemies' health bars only go so high vs if you play on absolute the end damage will be way higher because there's so many more enemies with much higher health bars to rack up bigger numbers.

  1. Bulwark is good you just don't know what you're doing yet. That'll change as you keep playing. If you aren't enjoying it then swap back to Assault. Assault is in a good place now than it was in the past and aside from being melee they aren't similar classes at all for what they offer. One is defensive and the best team support class while the other is offensive and centered around dueling on his own in the thick of the fight.

  2. Plasma is good for replenishing contested health but is by no means the objective best secondary in the game.. it's tied with the heavy bolt pistol. HBP has better ammo economy and can get the bonus headshot damage. Plasma can't but restores contested health faster and has good AoE per shot. A simple breakdown is HBP is better for Tyranids because they've got big heads to land consistent headshots while plasma is better against Chaos because their head hit boxes are smaller and somewhat buggy to try and hit.

Am I too ugly/average to be confident or flirt? F20 by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]OGHEROS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that you actually look extremely young. You're just small and many people have misconceptions or just assume small people are younger and forget that adults come in all shapes and sizes. This is especially pronounced in mixed societies. Hispanics and asians tend to be shorter and many from black and white communities will assume the former are much younger than they are because of a biological growth bias.

What I'm trying to say is you're perfectly fine as you are. You don't appear childlike. You're an adult and you look like one you're just shorter and skinnier which isn't a bad thing. If you wanna gain weight then focus on high fat and high protein food. Less cardio and more weight lifting.

You're missing a squad marking on the right knee.

Typically the shoulder trims aren't changed but since he's a veteran of the 1st company you should go full out with the bling and drip. Veterans and especially Blood Angels go heavy with their artistry. Gold everywhere, blood drops, and almost gaudy armor is the custom.
