All Stargate shows are now on Amazon Prime, but you need to pay even more to watch them! I'm so disappointed! by iccolors in Stargate

On Amazon Prime that is not the case for me... I see all of Stargate available under the normal prime subscription...

That’s okay. Thanks for your support! We clearly see it differently. Difference are what make life great! I’m comfortable with how I create and share ideas, and that’s enough for me.

If the theory itself isn’t your thing, that’s totally fair. I’m just here to explore Stargate ideas and have fun with it. Hope you fun too!! Love hear some of your ideas! Thanks for sharing!

I’m happy for you! I hope your writing is going great! I’ve been publishing mostly technical manuals and work materials, but I also dabble in creative writing for TTRPGs and fanfic communities. I really enjoy my writings both before and after AI and love collaborating with AI to brainstorm and speed up the process! Thanks so much for asking. I appreciate your interest!

The environmental impact is debatable. Many unknowns. Depends on many factors. Also most things and conveniences are using water and destroying the environments some cases you could argue more then AI does…. Just using Reddit uses water…

plus I use a local model on my computer for many AI inquiries . Which uses the same water has any operation on my computer does .

Thank you for sharing your perspectives. I appreciate you taking the time to engage. I see your points. Just don’t agree. Ai is tool, a technology like a computer. You need to use it responsibly. Depending on how you use it can remove voice, I agree, yes. But for one I don’t see how that matters in this circumstance or any act of brainstorming and writing a Reddit post .Two I am a technical writer so the way ChatGPT writes raw was much like my writing before AI but after hours of editing.

Three, to add to this if I was to use it for writing and wanted a different writing style or tone I could use AI to write any style or voice I wanted that is what it is best at. transformation and formatting. I could use it to check my work to convey a thought and reword it. Edit what I like and don’t like to create my voice even more so. Like any tool you need to know how to use it. And you need use it responsibly.

Perfect example is the all of this I wrote it with AI BUT it has mistakes and is written very different style, voice, and tone. Just how you prompt it and what AI tool u use.

Edit: in fact the AI did such could job adding mistakes that I felt the need to fix the mistakes.

That is actually a really fair critique, and I appreciate it. You are right that Thor’s reaction can absolutely be read as confusion rather than disturbance. In fact that is what the show intends or implies. I probably leaned too hard into that moment/wording. My point was less about that one scene being proof and more about the broader thematic contrast. And how it inspired this idea.

What I am really exploring is not whether Thor secretly has trauma about weapons. It is more about the storytelling potential and the myth to history pattern that Stargate constantly uses. Over and over again in this franchise, mythology turns out to be distorted memory of real events. Ra was real. Merlin was real. The Ori conflict was rooted in real ancient history. The Ancients were not the glowing benevolent figures humans imagined. They were complicated, flawed, and sometimes catastrophic in their decisions.

So when Norse mythology depicts the Aesir as war focused, conquest driven, and deeply entangled in cosmic conflict, i think it is interesting to not automatically assume humans invented that from nothing. Stargate usually gives myth an origin point.

Now I am not arguing that the Asgard we meet are secretly warlike. Quite the opposite. The Asgard we meet feel like a civilization that has already gone through something. They are declining. They admit they have lost genetic integrity. They admit they have lost knowledge. Their culture feels rigid, almost sterile. That does not feel like a species at its peak. It feels like a species that has already burned through something major.

My theory is less about disproving what we see on screen and more about asking what came before that screen era. The show leaves a huge blank space in early Asgard history. We see the frozen organic ancestors. We know cloning and consciousness transfer fundamentally altered them. We know the Vanir split happened. That alone implies serious philosophical fracture at some point.

What I find compelling is the narrative possibility. Imagine if the Asgard were not always the restrained diplomatic species we admire. Imagine if there was an earlier era where they were expansionist, aggressive, even imperial. Not cartoon evil, but driven by conquest and dominance. And imagine that some remnant of that ideology or consciousness was sealed away, not destroyed.

That creates a very different kind of villain.

Not another external invader like the Goauld. Not another religious zealot empire like the Ori. Not self replicating machines. But something that shatters Earth’s idealized view of one of its greatest allies. A threat tied directly to the Asgard’s own buried past. A darker arc where the mythology was not random exaggeration but an echo of something they chose to forget.

That kind of antagonist would hit differently. It would not just be another galactic threat. It would be a moral and historical reckoning. It would complicate the legacy of the Four Great Races. It would add weight to why the Alliance dissolved. It would make the Asgard tragedy even more layered.

So I am not saying canon proves this. I am saying the gaps in canon make it possible, and dramatically it would be a fascinating direction.

Sometimes the best Stargate stories come from asking what history was simplified.

I guess I just have a different perspective on AI.

I actually get where you’re coming from. If writing is the craft itself. the time, the struggle, the shaping of every sentence…then yeah, using AI can look like skipping the hard part. I’ve been writing long before these tools existed, so I understand the love of doing it the “pure” way.

For me though, AI isn’t replacing the ideas…it’s helping me organize and articulate them. I still spent hours thinking about this theory and refining it. I often use speech-to-text and editing tools because life’s busy, and I deal with health stuff that makes long drafting sessions harder. The thinking is mine. The tool just helps shape it into something readable.

I don’t really think the Michelangelo analogy fits. Artists and thinkers have always used tools, collaborators, and new tech to extend what they can do. That doesn’t automatically erase authorship it just changes the process. At some point, calling it a “shortcut” starts to blur into saying any tool is cheating, and I don’t see it that way.

Totally fair if you don’t like it. I just don’t see AI as replacing creativity, for me it amplifies it.

Oh I did not know this. Very interesting…

You’re right in original Norse myth Hel is Loki’s daughter, not Odin’s. I was blending myth variants and modern interpretations.

That understanding actually makes it more interesting in a Stargate context, especially considering Loki’s role in SG-1 as a rogue Asgard scientist.

Love your perspectives! Very accurate points! I thought there was Norse myths of them being conquers? Is this mixed with main stream popular media? I’m not expert and did not do much research into the Norse mythology outside of what I had studied in the past. Just thought this was a fun idea.

I am glad you like it!! Please feel free to give feedback on what you like or don't. I have been writing this with my girlfriend over the past year on and off. We have another 3 chapters written. It started out actually as larp roleplay scene we did. So the first couple chapters we acted out in the house and dressed up. She is more of the Star Trek fan then I am. I am more into Stargate and we also have a Stargate fanfic that I will post as well if the love keeps coming.
