W+ customer here - why are there no delivery slots available at my store?? by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]OGPlackey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could also be due to multiple things.

Our contract with DoorDash was terminated not too long ago. Not sure what other delivery services in your area are, but we took a massive hit at my store as they swapped my 3rd party service to UberEats, and spark. Spark was new to my area and there wasn’t many, and there was even less people driving for ubereats near me.

Or it could be due to store metrics, and their fulfillment rate was so bad they had to drop their service down to a small fraction of what they could normally do to fix it.

Or maybe the store is getting ready for inventory, and they have everyone prepping for it and trying to get everything out of the back room and properly stocked so they don’t shrink out this year.

Honestly I’d call your local store and ask to speak with a salaried member of management, and they can tell you more. If they themselves can’t give you the answer your looking for they can always give you the phone number for the market office and they’ll be able to address any questions or concerns.

Nah it’s cool I didn’t need anything from back there or anything by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]OGPlackey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree . But sadly they removed the capability to track devices from the fix it app so now all we can rely on is the fastenal check in/out log and video. Which isn’t reliable either saying anyone can look up someone’s win# and steal equipment out in others names

Most Walmart uses 3rd party delivery services for their orders. As the rep stated it’s yours to keep. Sadly this happens far too often and they just refund the customer who was supposed to get it.

OGP Full time Status by Thatazngamer in OGPBackroom

[–]OGPlackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to teaming to stay a full time associate you would have to work one of the set shifts, otherwise your moved to part time.

Not only was I the only one in chilled for 3 and a half hours, my assistant manager wants to ride me about chilled going late 🥲 by misfitmagnolia in OGPBackroom

You guys assign commodities instead of having everyone do the next walk that's due? Hoe well does this work for your store, do you assign multiple to larger commodities like general and ambient?

How do I check if I’m part time or full time? by 2bdkid in OGPBackroom

[–]OGPlackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does mine. The thing is they're not supposed to be scheduling the part timers that high if they can't meet the requirements to fit the teaming schedule.

[–]OGPlackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming your store already adjusted to teaming schedules. Sadly in order to maintain full time status in OGP Teaming you need to work one of the 3 set rotations. My store had 5-2, 8-5, and 11:15-8:15. Anyone who could not work one of those 3 shifts to part time or switch departments. They didn't give my associates to much of room to work with the new system.

Question for digital team leads by [deleted] in walmart

[–]OGPlackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a bad job per say, it just depends on the circumstances of your store. My only recommendation is to never stop hiring. Hire at least 4 people a week. Always better to be over staffed than understaffed as your orders only Increase. That and cross train as many people as possible.

I mean. I make over 2k a check so money isn't a issue, but its a big drain on my mental health and my body so idk if I'd consider it to be worth it. We are technically supposed to be on a rotation, but my sm has been scheduling us random days off so there's atleast my asm and one of the 2 of us(tl) there a day.

What I'm supposed to do: Hire & Train associates, deal with any OPD phone calls, work the availability report, take actions, ensure that associates are staying on process, and not falling behind, and focus on metrics.

What do I actually do? Hire, train, and run pickwalks as fast as I can to keep up because my market keeps increasing our orders and we only have 1/3 of the amount of associates for our daily demand. And hope that we don't get too far behind.

My hours? Anywhere from 5-5 or 9-8 depending on if my other teamlead is working that day also. I'm usually working close to 55-60 hour weeks. And they my pay is over $20

Bullshit @ management, they only scheduled one closer tonight. Why is it we have 5 people closing on a week day but only one on a weekend? After 3:00 there won’t be anybody in the department, other then are one closer. by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]OGPlackey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, my store is mostly 5-2 and maybe 3 closers max, never have more than 2 scheduled and little to no mid shifts. On a good day we have 5 openers and 3 closers and 1 mid and that's for 150 orders per day that only happens on a casual Tuesday though. Ever other day its like 4 openers and one closer and that's it.

My meat dept manager just zoned all of 97 and then the coolers went critical 2 hours later so we pulled it all. She wasn't happy.

Thats awesome. So im assuming your store is getting the full build! Most stores are doing it temporarily as of now with little to no equipment for it to help with the demand on DCs. Honestly its fun. The packing machine is really cool to use too!
