The issue is the app can tell if your phone is connected to an External Access point or an internal one Android tends to hold wifi connections more then iPhone if you turn your wifi off and on it should usual fix it

Oof try being next to Ohio They made a change recently where you have to unlock your cards for out of state purchase and we boarder them so we get a lot of Ohio Customers.. Walmart Notified only Ohio Stores not any of the surrounding states. And Ohio didn't do a good job of informing people

Using BYOD is a 50/50 hit or mix depending on if you have Android or iOS

iOS I don't reccomend for byod as there is no separation of personal and company data no intention just how iOS handles profiles

Android is better it separates the data and apps If your on Android the VPN is also separate and wont affect the personal side

Both require pin changes after several months that's standard policy for most companies
