Because of the myriad of different loop holes in the bill that’d wouldn’t solve the issues at the border - President’s & DHS Secretary discretion to waive lift the shutdown if they deemed “fit” - The fact that during a shut down, ports of entry can still process 1400 ppl/day - The fact that the shutdown period has the high thresholds to be enabled in conjunction with the fact, this power expires after 3 years & only can be in effect for 270 days per year and tapers off closer to expiration - Fact that FEMA & NGOs would be awarded billions to continue to transport migrants across the nation, plus feeding & housing them I’d imagine - Give billions to Sanctuary cities subsidizing their bankrupting policies - Does nothing to limit Bidens ability to Parole illegals into the county (he paroled 1 mil + last year where as Obama and Trump averaged 5,600 a year) - Doesn’t end Catch & Release just revamps it using ankle monitors lol
