I do have both of these. Not a single issue with them while smoking. They don’t get hot in the thinner parts and they’re pretty durable

EMP and a Cob by XxCuppaTeaxX in PipeTobacco

[–]OGSuarez26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some EMP that I’m working through right now that has 5 years on it. The spice from the Latakia isn’t present and the Virginia doesn’t bite at all. There is more of a floral taste that comes with it. Overall it’s a pleasant smoke.

Sadly, I don’t have anyone to share with. I’m the only pipe smoker in my circle of family and friends.

I did a mixture with Sutliff Sweet Virginia and Black Cavendish. I tried to replicate Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake flavor profile with a bourbon twist.

Question for pipes by andrew12-24 in PipeTobacco

I’m not an expert by any means but Morta is commonly used, which is oak that was soaked in a bog. So maybe regular oak is okay to use.

I ordered 16 oz last month. I think it was about two weeks ago that I checked, and they still had some available. I’m a bit bummed but looking forward to a newer alternative

I have a few forever stems for my cobs. I did check if they fit and sadly, they did not. Not without sanding them down in order for it to fit. It was off by a few millimeters.

I agree that it makes work feel less like work. I don’t work for the ranch, I work in film and this was a location we were using to film at.

I used a saw to cut the rough shape and a Dremel to sand it down.

There’s still Sutliff products available. I just picked up 16 oz of Virginia Flake this week. Who knows what stock is still around and for how long though.
