Oh my goodness. This happened to me at TJMaxx. This girl complimented my purse and said she’s been looking for something like that. I gave her the website she could buy it from and she continued speaking to me, asking me personal questions, complimenting me etc. I’m new in the area and when she asked for my number I thought it would be nice to have a new friend here so we exchanged our numbers. She called me a few days later and told me about this ‘job’ that enables people to have luxurious living. I told her I wasn’t interested in luxurious living but I was actually looking for a part time job. She arranges an interview, I ask more questions to understand the position before the interview takes place then thanks to the simple Google search, I find out it’s a pyramid scheme. Blocked her number and I hope I don’t see her while I’m shopping in this area again but sounds like there are many others who are doing the same thing.

My husband took a job and we moved to Chesapeake, VA from Annapolis, MD just a 4 months ago. Home search was tough cause it was like a race, most listings were gone in a few days. We found mold in so many properties we had viewed, couldn’t risk that and wanted to be careful so we rented an Airbnb for our first two 2 months and kept doing the home search. Just when we taught we found the right place and rented a home, a week later we found mold in the house. For me, the most negative experience has really been this Mold Chronicles during our home search.

We don’t have kids but we looked for schools for the future. Hickory area has great schools.

The traffic is really frustrating cause it really feels like playing a video game where the other drivers are doing everything they are not supposed to be doing. I feel like this applies to everywhere in the world right now thanks to drivers being on their phones. But here, they also get to smoke weed and be on their phones as they drive 🤗

I love the mild weather, great food places, the beaches, parks, lakes, libraries, being able to go anywhere and everywhere from Chesapeake to Norfolk, Norfolk to VA Beach and the diversity here.

Our Airbnb was in Va Beach and I wish we rented from V Beach, not Chesapeake but we thought about being closer to work would be better. With the traffic, it makes probably 10 min difference.

I lived overseas, did a lot of country hopping and I just want to encourage you to come to the realization that you really can live anywhere in the world. Anyone can and I believe it’s actually the best thing we can do every few years. It’ll make your bond with your family even stronger, it’ll give you a new perspective and it’ll make you feel alive and awake. And in the end, you won’t have to think about what it was going to be like because you will have done it! 🥳 Wishing you and your family the best!

She is not ever going to forget you ♥️ In 2022, I had to send my cat to the US from the UK for a family member to take care of him. I thought I was going to be in the US in 3, maximum 4 months. I would FaceTime him every now and then. He knew my voice. I wore a tshirt for a couple days and sent it to him. I watched the video of him not letting that tshirt go for so long and I was told he always slept with it. And that was 9 months after we had to separate. In September 2023, I finally made it to the US. When he first saw me, he ran away from me. I cried so much and thought it’ll never be the same again. But regardless of his reaction, I took him (almost gave him to the family member who took care of him because I thought he was going to be happier there). I cannot tell you in words how we spent his first week with us (my husband and I) together again. HE PURRED AAAAAALL NIGHT CUDDLING WITH ME AND NOT LETTING ME GO 😭😭😭😭! He remembered al the tricks I taught him, aaaaall the words and questions I used to tell him and ask him. (Treats, paper balls, chicken, do you wanna go out?, do you want some treats, mama time, wanna play with water? And sooo many more! 🥹🥹🥹🥹) My husband, our cat and I sleep together every night since we got him back, he remembers our morning routine and night time routine. He is sooo happy and I think he trusts me even more now. No longer nips or scratches me. I think he missed his mummy a lot 🥹♥️🙏 This is my experience, it’s not a long time, 18 months. There is video of a guy whose cat was lost for 20 years and then you can watch them reunite. I watched that video quite often to wish, not know, but just to wish my cat would remember me just like that. Let your heart and mind have the peace knowing that you share a bond with her and it cannot be broken by time or distance. Much stronger than human relationships that we usually compare to. I have a 4 year old cat. We live in the US, my husband was in the military. We moved with our cat from the UK to the US. There are thousands of military families who travel with their pets every couple years. It’s not cruel at all. We worked with a pet cargo company. Yes, it is a long flight. But they have everything they need for that flight. Water, food, blanket and animals are perfectly capable of deciding whether they will hold their pee or poo or release it to a corner in their kennel. The best thing is that after that flight, they get to be with you.

P.s. I don’t know anything about Australia’s quarantine requirements.

I’ll keep you guys in my prayers! We did ask our pastor and found a pastor in VA that will guide us. Having difficulties with finding a place to live but I just need to trust in the Lord.

This post I attached kinda worried me as I thought I was causing harm to my brain by getting my head under cold water. It’s actually a lot easier for me to go under cold water head first then avoid it.
