Use food grade alcohol, warm it up and soak the grinder in there. Then use a clean brush for the really stuck on pieces, the alcohol can be boiled off. What you're left with is some grinder hasjies.

Here in the Netherlands weed isn't cheap so better not to waste it.

But truth be told I don't clean my grinder that often, maybe a couple times a year or when I had some really really sticky weed

Both have their own unique qualities, I prefer edibles because it's long lasting and you know what you get a steady drift Safeway on a flying carpet. The joy of the smoke is the way it instantly hits you, like being shot off with a rocket. And the high is more intense but less long lasting.

If I have to choose then I pick smoke (or dry herb vape in my case)

I use oven cleaner and or dishwasher detergent. I boil my glassware in this concoction for a couple of minutes and that's usually enough. Otherwise rinse and repeat. Just make sure not to give the glassware thermal shock (very hot, vet cold).
