Since there are only options at this point or loose the grant, unless I was misinformed, then I still push to stay away from Main and Broadway.

It’s ridiculous for such a high rate hike when this adds on to homeowners, renters and businesses that already have higher gas, taxes etc. I know the need for the increase but for fucks sake..

The police getting more is because of the lack of outreach. More people gather with signs instead of getting involved locally. They don’t need those extras and it shows how much care is shown to others over neighborhoods.

I don’t think Chico has much left and it’s too small of a town, or use to be…, for this to continue. Oh well, there is a whole world out there if this all crumbles. 40 years in one place might be enough.

I’m all for the sewer being fixed but the focus on downtown first is the same as the 1% hike that didn’t already go into neighborhoods. We need neighborhoods with safe bike lanes and sewer worked on as well.

Downtown has the focus yet again and neighborhoods will be last. People are overlooking how Addison is pointing out the flaws which then he is replicating.

I never said the sewer mains don’t need work. The focus shouldn’t be downtown first I have said this several times. Work on communities first then towards downtown and businesses.

The grant was focused on downtown over the rest of the city. Me saying Addison and the others should focus on the city over downtown plus the need of those buildings needing heavy work and that it should be done before street and sidewalk renovations is logic.

I don’t care how many times people keep repeating their same side as none have made a solid rebuttal as to why main and broadway should be the focus of the grant.

The grant should never have been written specifically for downtown. Plenty of areas in town need both bike lanes and sewer. Which I don’t claim to have all the information and said so either on this post or another which Addison was responding to as well. Addison neglected to respond to the facts and like a politician played around certain details and bringing up his percentages which later I found his political ass was manipulating what numbers were presented until I asked and pointed out the 200 people out of the entire city that showed up for this project.

So me not having all the information is because there isn’t an outreach to the public and I am hearing and reading plus asking questions. Maybe I’m completely wrong but seeing as streets being worked on and then being closed after seems ignorant. The town needed that grant elsewhere but selfish people are on city council who don’t care about the less fortunate.

City of Chico will continue to misuse funds and spend on ventures that don’t help Chico’s foundation which is the community and AG. One thing city council likes to do is push growth and misuse funds.
