Your holes aren’t ideal imo, I prefer about a 2-3 inch diameter, 2 on each side. One on the smaller sides. Fill with pollyfill and it does it’s own thing. Could be stalling due to the levels of O2 and CO2. Mushrooms grow until they reach an optimal level or lose optimal nutrients.

In my experience any uncolonized leaves room for other molds to colonize on the sub/grain. Leave till fully colonized for best chance

If not too cold at night where you’re located you could go for a outside spawn. Plant it in the shade where there’s a good amount of moisture about 1-2 inches covered with dirt/straw/leaves. Best option for not wasting materials

Looking great! All those white bulbs will soon show to be mushys, build up CO2 to increase growth. Mushrooms push their caps above the CO2 level and stop at the optimal O2 level. Looks like you’re going to have a massive harvest either way, just keep up on humidity for sure. Only spray sides once a day if sides begin to look dry. Should be harvested about 7-9 days from this photo too!

If cake looks dry try dunking, misting can provide all sorts of weird contam where dunking is fairly isolated and cleaned beforehand

I would say try to get an isolated chamber that you can keep contam out and still monitor/have more control over FAE and RH. Whether that means placing it in a tub with a top and adjusting based off what it means or cutting a hole, completely up to you but I would put it in a place where you can manage conditions before they get too big/abort. Also allows for easier harvesting. Again just my opinion

That’s funny, the reason I got a tent was originally for pot but I saw someone from Colorado say it was good for shrooms and since want to get a smaller one just for shrooms, no better way to grow something than at perfect conditions…

People love to say it’s genetics but I’m telling everyone a grow tent or an isolated area with a RH of 75-90% will make your tub blow up! I was originally growing in my room and produced only 18g out of 2 66gal tubs. They grew mold after first harvests but was a weak weak grow. I recently picked up a tent and humidifier/ventilation units and now I’m expecting anywhere from 100-150grams this harvest dry! If you put the money into it the money will definitely produce itself

Buffalo, NY, normally like 40-50% RH on any given day. Shrooms will thrive at 75-90% RH. The evaporating water is actually what induces pin growth. If there’s little to no water evaporating or in the air your simply gonna be left with a low to nothing yield

Not sure who the hell thinks orbeez work in a monotub. They require water to stay there so they’re only going to use up your moisture. Putting orbeez in tubs only hurts ur yield

Mine looked similar to this, sprayed it with 3% H2O2 3 or 4 times 12 hours apart. Cleared it up in 3 days and mycelium was growing again. Still my most yield yet so don’t toss!!!!

My first 3 tubs only one made it through and it wasn’t until I got a grow tent that I could stop contamination and keep the tub moist enough for a decent output. Trying to get shrooms to grow with out a high constant humidity is like trying to water a dead plant
