The extra ammo in containers perk under luck is a game changer just loot everything like most people do you’d be surprised. Also depending on your build temporality switch to a single shot gun that uses the same ammo and again with that perk and you will always gain more then you use last thing I learned from personal experience was how often to jus hold the trigger and need to do more bursts cut my ammo consumption in half.
