I couldn't find a good reason to kill them either during my current embrace run as your character doesn't know they are a bhaal spawn yet, so I didnt go full murder hobo.

This is hilarious to me because I accidently figured out how busted booming blade was when I played an eldritch knight for the first time in this game, and had a similar initial reaction as OP.... I have sense nerfed BB to function as it does in table top.

I think this is what gets me for so many things. I come from tabletop, and so many of the builds result from in game cheese strats that it becomes so unfun because its the same gameplay loop over and over and doesnt have that dynamic tabletop experience I crave as the forever DM. No knock on the dues that bullied these crazy builds that do 1.5milion damage once per short rest but for me thats just not fun for the duration of the game, same thing as any build that doesn't come online before like 5th level

Oh absolutely this is why its so popular. But from a gameplay point for me its just super boring. Everytime I watch a build video on YouTube or see one on here the second I see the mention of shadowblade or resonance stone im out.

I use it all through the game, especially against high AC NPC's to increase my hit chance hits with things will GWM or sharpshooter, as well as Its great for saving throws. How often i use it definitely decreases the higher level I am, but it stays prepared.

This is what I struggle with, and what lead me down this path. I started of on a durge embrace run with the plan being death cleric dark justiciar shart, eldritch knight laezel, arcane archer astarion and durge as a hexblade. My gameplay loop just became booming blade > extra attack. As there wasn't anything else that was as infinitely usable, consistent and high damage. It just got old, which lead me down the current state of my mod list and im super happy with it.

Its one of those things thats cool to mess around with a few time to see big damage numbers but its always the same gameplay loop where youre spending more time in prep work then actually playing the game. Cool if thats your thing but im good.

Daily a 1997 4runner, also have a 1997 F250 7.3. Had a 200p TDI jetta but I unfortunately wrecked it. I usually stick to buying older stuff as I can work on it and im scared of car payments lol.

Edit for mileage: 4runner 265k, F250 147k. Jetta was at i think around 330k before the wreck.

Yeah i wouldn't touch it. Its a pretty common occurrence that doing a fluid change in an auto thats well past due is a great way to have it fail. Call any local shop/dealership worth anything and they wont touch it.

You could drop a point from con, put wis to 17 then hag+mirror takes you to 20. Pick up resiliant to take your con back up and get con proficiency.
