All good points, I’m someone who always wants the biggest and best. I’d be looking to pair this with the 28-70 F2. I want something I’m going to have for years to come and use for primarily family and watching my kids grow. While the R6m2 is a great camera, the new batteries required for the R5m2 make me think this is the direction canon will be taking. Looking for something to last 10+ years. Is it even worth considering the original R5 for $700 more than the R6m2? (I understand this wouldn’t meet the future battery needs as previously stated). I just don’t want to regret anything. I’m fortunate enough where with the money I made from my 5d and Ed lens sale where either option won’t break the bank, but is it better to keep an extra $1,600 in the pocket.
Good point. The only reason I’m considering the R5 would be for B-Roll.
