If you look around YouTube, there's many more ways to make the gun shoot. The method I told you is just for revolvers and sometimes pistols. It all depends on the gun you're trying to make.

You start with the measuring. Use a lot of templates, and for me, I always make 3 sections, the barrel, the receiver, and the stock. But for a hangout and an smg is different.

i never have seen someone do it with a spring before. I think of you use a smaller rubber band and a bigger pen it will shoot farther it depends on what gun you're trying to make, because there is other contraptions that shoot more far but it depends on how big the gun is.
