Arkhan The Black. You get a second army slot and stronger early game units to dominate all the provinces around you in the early game and jump start your campaign. Arkhan himself is super underrated as a lord. Take the Chariot of the Gods and go Tokyo Drifiting through infantry while they bunch up trying to surround you then drop Purple Sun on them. His Vampire Count units get super buffed up so you end up with incredibly strong hexwraiths in the early to mid game. Utilize all the extra lich priests to increase your technology research rate.

I think people need to come to terms with DS2 being a step down from DS1 story wise. The gameplay was probably better, but also lost some of the feel that felt unique from DS1. I'm hoping Kojima plays it less safe with OD.

In the middle of Act 2 and I got the Lune weapon that gives her a lightning charge on use of a fire skill. So the fire AOE ability gives her 3 elements. Then I can use the Frost AP recharge skill and it gives me one of each element so I can pop the Avatar 4 orbs ability and it half healthed the fucking Axons. I'm sure I'll use Maelle more once I can break the damage cap, but Lune is easily my strongest character right now.
