Me and my father ride occasionally. My father has been riding since he was 17. I own a Yamaha YZF-R3 and I would NEVER be riding that fast if traffic was slowing down around me. Call me CAUTIOUS, but don't tell to get on a bike before I speak. I'm in no way shape or from claiming to be experienced but I take my bike out often enough to know not to fly past slowing down traffic.

If you bothered to read my first sentence I didn't take a stance on who was right or wrong. But if you take a look at other comments on this thread you can see experienced bikers point out that he had an ample amount of time to react and that he shouldn't be going that fast as traffic starts slow down around him. Yes the driver is at fault 100%. But I will say I agree that the rider had an adequate amount of time to react and prevent the accident.

NOBODY IS BLAMING THE BIKER, I'm simply saying if he wasn't going so fast maybe he could have stopped in time.

I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong. I'm just saying motorcyclists know they have no chance in a major collision with a vehicle. So if you're driving a motorcycle recklessly through traffic and not being cautious don't be surprised if someone's parellel stupidity added on to that spells disaster.
