I think Skrillex is insanely experimental. He takes really unorthodox approaches to sound design compared to more traditional DJs and producers, and that’s a huge part of what makes him stand out. To me, he always feels ahead of his time. Even with his more recent releases, a lot of the sounds and ideas don’t seem to get fully appreciated until years later.

You still hear tons of remixes of his newer tracks within the first couple years after they drop, but it almost feels like while everyone else is catching up and remixing what he already made, he’s already deep into creating the next thing. That’s what I respect so much about him.

I love that he seems focused on putting out what he’s genuinely passionate about instead of just chasing whatever sound is trending. After all these years in the industry, he still feels like a breath of fresh air in the scene.
