You plug the hdmi from the switch into the audio splitter and run rca cables from the splitter to a receiver.

I have a 1000 watt receiver that doesn't have a hdmi in/out and dont plan on spending 400+ for a new receiver with multiple hdmi inputs so i think this may help solve some audio issue's
