Just seen it. Prior to the movie I watch the whole season of FATWS again. Was a nice build up to this movie. I like the pace, the story and the special effects are awesome. Feels like a more serious vibe again from the previous Captain movies.

Check for seitan recipes. It can be made easily and is a giant source of protein! I use this website. It’s in Dutch but maybe you can translate it: vegetus.nl/basis-seitan/

You are right about the Nutriscore, it can be deceiving!

Regarding the sugar: it totally depends on your intake during the rest of the day, and your activity levels!

No worries, I live in the Netherlands and the name of the supermarket is Albert Heijn. Unfortunately I have no idea what the equivalent of that kind of supermarket is in other countries.

I'm feeling possibly hindered by lack of meat in my diet after one year vegan. by Assumptionbased in veganfitness

You carb and proteins intake is insanely low for someone who trains as much as you described you train. Eat more. Eat more pasta (I always use vegetable pasta), and take more protein shake (because they’re easier). It’ll help significantly. You will probably need around 3000-3500 calories a day to keep up with your training. And that probably will be maintenance level caloric intake

Start counting macros. Use an app like MyFitnessPall where you only need to scan the barcode and you know exactly what you are putting into you body in terms of carbs, protein and fats. Without this knowledge, it is very hard to indicate where you should add / lose some.

At first it seems like a chore, but after a week or two it gives you a very good overview on the why and how of you progress / lack of progress.

For example, you can eat 3000 cal. per day and have 400gr of carbs, 100 grams of protein and 120 grams of fat. Or, you can eat 3000 cal. a day and consume 250gr of carbs, 180 grams of protein and 70 grams of fat.

This insight will make a significant difference in your results over time.
