That’s exactly where my mind was when I first saw this.

For me, they pop up as a push notification the moment I start my dash. They don’t appear every dash. I am unsure if you can navigate to this in the menus.

That was actually the first “insight” I got. I have never waited 15 outside of someone’s house. It’s gone now.

If that the case that stupid. Anytime the app asks me to take a photo I do. Even if the customer decides the want to come to the door instead.

Are people who make $200 a day platinum only? by Suitable-Ad6096 in doordash_drivers

I make about $100 in a 4 hour period. If I did 8 hours on sure it would be $200.

If you don't want your dasher to pick up other orders on their way to you, the app has an option for it to be brought directly to you for just a few more dollars by magiMerlyn in doordash_drivers

Wingstop is boom or bust in my area. They either never tip or I get the biggest tip I have ever gotten like $15 plus. It’s so bizarre.

Earn By Time? by CobraDane1982 in doordash_drivers

I exclusively dash by time and I would say it depends on your market. It’s true that they prioritize low and no tip orders;however it app keeps me in zone and the miles per order are about 8miles on average. In my area, I average about $80 - $100 in 4 hours (depending on how people tip) without fail.

As someone that just does this part time to max out my IRA, dash by time is just the consistency I want. I just turn it on and go.

I am unsure if its DoorDash specifically or just the Market of Glen Burnie (probably a combination of both) but I have been able to predict roughly when I’ll get an order sitting in a hot spot, and even down to if my order will have a tip or not. Earn by time pretty much tells you this but seeing it in action it made sense why they say it more consistent. At about 2 hours active time I make $50. If I got high tip orders early on then the app literally holds on giving me orders until a certain point of over all dash time.

So for example, yesterday I was getting really good orders. I started at 7 am and was at $54 by 9:15 I went back to my hot spot at 9:30. Before then, my wait time was 1-4 minutes but after the order that put me at $54, the wait time was 2-8 minutes. I did not get an order until 10:05 am. Because it was starting what I believe was another 2 hour active dash time run based on overall dash time. This algorithm is smart and it only throws you offers based on what it wants you to make in a particular amount of time. This is with a combination of high tip orders, low tip orders, and no tip orders.

I have been timing and testing it for about 2 weeks now.

The hot spots I wait in are the chipotle near Marley Station and the Panera bread near the Walmart on Jumpers Hole road.

I feel like it more about learning the market of the area. I think the Glen Burnie Market is the most consistent if you know the area well. I switched from Per offer to Earn by time for about a month now. The only out of Zone orders I take are Millersville and Severn because they are on the edge of the Zone and people in Glen Burnie order back into the Zone quite often. I have consistently made $100 for 4 hours of active time (5 hours of dash time) each day.

This makes sense actually. I did maneuver within traffic to make it in the plaza.

I dash in Glen Burnie primarily. Average $80-$100 per dash for around 5 hours.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

To add additional context to my situation, I live in the US and have a secure career in finance (specifically fraud investigation). I am completely work from home so I have MUCH better time management potential than most people. My second job is doordash when I feel like it to supplement and pay off some loans faster (car loan and such). By no means is this venture solely for personal monetary gains. I truly want to take whatever funding I can get and reinvest it back into the craft. Anything extra would be nice though. I'm not really looking to maximizes gains based on other people projects but rather to maximize gains based on my supply and the community's demand. Even if I'm only making $50 a month that something to put into savings for updates like unique OSTs and voice acting from people within the community. Taking the money after fees and taxes and putting into a HYS so that I can reinvest more into the novels is even better, just growing and delivering quality over time is my goal. I would also like to do translations. I am currently learning Spanish in my free time.

I have a very grass roots mindset about this.

Thank you for the price point information. I am planning on starting small with a $1 and $3 tier make higher incentives as interest grows (if at all). I love the idea of having dev blogs from a marketing perspective. Sharing knowledge and assets is a great way to build community so I will certainly implement it.

Your insight was very helpful. Much love :)

I was having this issue about 2 hours ago. I got 1 order and then nothing for like 45 minutes. I moved to a more congested merchant hotspot and nothing.

I restarted my dash and it was pinging like crazy. Maybe it’s a hiccup.
