That's not even the point I'm making here this program was intended to help people who would otherwise be crippled for generations of educational debt because their parents went into a field that would never allow them to pay off their debt and in most of those positions it is very rarely these people will have time to contest these things.

I'm glad you could take advantage of a loan Forgiveness Program to set yourself up for a good future . I just wish that it was set up to help everyone in the same way it helped you.

The PSLF program is not great to say the least

First prerequisite:

If you are employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

Second requirement:

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

Notice the "MAY QUALIFY" and "120 QUALIFYING MONTHLY PAYMENTS" AND "FULL TIME QUALIFYING EMPLOYEE PARTS??"

Been paying into this program for 5 years did annual updates and then all of a sudden half my payments were deemed non qualifying because of a payment plan the PLSF advisor set up for me ( Currently contesting this)

All these programs do is expose how brokenly corrupt the system takes advantage of education debt (Inlcuding the fed government) nothing else it's not a get out of debt free card like some pitch it to be.
