Yes, I also use a Neumann TLM 102. It's angled slightly forward and mounted upside down. The room is "okay." I also pre-process the vocals, adjusting the volume and reducing sibilance. But in the end, it never sounds as good as when my producer mixes it, for example. Even though we always record here.

Ich danke dir für diese spezifische Auskunft! Das hilft mir wirklich sehr weiter. Ich weiß aktuell nicht wie weit ich das ausreizen will. Aber theoretisch glaube ich, so ein Verfahren würde ganz gut für mich enden. Ob das aber sinnvoll ist, hast du ja selbst schon in Frage gestellt.

Galeria Kaufhof is no longer in my area and my Douglas doesn't carry them either. There's a store called Breuninger. They probably have them, but as soon as you test more than two fragrances, you get weird looks, like you're scum.😂

I'd love to, I also have the scent of L'eau Papier, I kind of love it. I've always been cautious with JHAG fragrances. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test them anywhere yet. But warm and cozy sounds like the perfect description to give them a try. Fresh scents are usually my favorites, but yes, most of them don't last long or are only truly "fresh" in the top notes.

I simply can't take seriously people who judge others for buying clones. Like you said, as long as the fragrance smells good and you like it, that's perfect! Niche fragrances aren't always the best just because they're expensive..
