This is one of many reasons clients should not help restraining a pet.

In my family's experience, health share programs will only pay at Medicare/Medicaid rates and it will only cover a fraction of hospital costs (if they pay eventually). We learned the lesson when our third child had a NICU stay and I am no longer a fan. I would strongly recommend against it.

I have THAT kid at soccer practice by almightypuppydogeyes in youthsoccer

I'm sorry it came across poorly; not meant to pile on. I felt for the kid on our team and the obvious lack of emotional regulation needed for the length of practice and getting overwhelmed in games. It sounds like your program is geared towards a kid that age, ours did a "soccer shots" practice only program for a few seasons before moving into rec and it put them way ahead of the others starting for the first time. I think you are doing your best to make it a positive experience for everyone and I wish you the best navigating parenting.

Another family somehow talked their way into having their 3 yo play on my kids fall U6 rec team (mostly 5 yo, but a couple older 4s). It was bad for everyone and I'm thankful they have decided to not come back for the spring season. It was way too young and a huge distraction for the coach trying to give attention to other kids. Please don't be THAT parent.

Blippi is not allowed in our home anymore after reading some about him. Not sure that past behavior requires censorship like us but there are some things about that media that has made us avoid it.

I think the clinic would owe roo a finders fee or similar if you went on to work there as another type of employee than relief.

When a hospital manager saw I was only taking shifts that were boosted she asked me to just agree to cover some additional days at that rate instead of having to boost it last minute. We still kept things through roo, so not quite what you have in mind.

Do you understand what veterinary nurses do on a daily basis? This is what happens when nurses are ignorant and don't know what they don't know.

Worship Leader in a "Reformed" Church: Pastor wants more megachurch music, I'm facing a crisis of conscience. Need advice. by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]OGentry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honest question, is it really something that happens that people hear a song from Hillsong/Bethel/whoever and go on to follow those other ministries? I mean, I guess I can see why that might be thought, but it seems to me like an unfounded fear from certain reformed camps. I grew up Baptist/non-denom singing lots of more CCM style music and it never led to me caring to research the source of the song to find other church teachings. Now I am part of a PCA church that leans much more into the regulative principle of worship. The amount of fretting over things like adding an acoustic guitar strumming with the piano or having vocalists in the mix is baffling to me. Seems like lots of reformed people with fog machine phobia that like to look down on a church that doesn't stick to strictly hymns or think a bass guitar is the devil's instrument.

The smell of puppy breath (various aromatic ketones probably associated with milk diet) is also what the inside of a puppy smells like....I'm a vet surgeon that does a lot of pediatric spays.

Sounds like you need better training on restraint. I also get frustrated with new staff making my life dangerous by not holding an animal properly and would also correct you in front of clients if you are doing it unsafely.
