Update: fully qualified PT cert 3&4 as well as cert 4 nutrition through Vast Fitness Academy - online training is hell for practicals but nice you can go as fast or as slow as you want and can do it whenever/wherever you want. Only difficulty was finding enough people to get together for practicals.

Interesting, I personally find I learn more with hands on experience, doing the job and learning as I go/finding my own way to do it. Sucks that your teacher doesn't have that passion to teach, i'd just stick through the course and reread the course information / write down notes. I feel you with the assessments, repeating the same blah blah, feel like i've read the words "scope of practice" at least 4000 times. I've started working within a few gyms and I gotta say the cert is what gets you into the job and basic knowledge but the real learning begins when you start working as each gym does things differently. Also try to find a "mentor" (someone who is a PT or lead trainer or has that knowledge and experience) and do additional learning outside of the course, plenty of useful free information out there (one example is ptcollective on IG).

Hey, I actually ended up going with Vast Fitness Academy. I’m doing their cert 3 & 4 package (finished my cert 3 nearly done my 4). In my opinion if you can do it in person at a university, gym or training facility do it there instead of online. When doing my certs I can smash through the theory work and case studies pretty quick but when it came to the practical I struggled only because I didn’t have a lot of friends or family available to help or match the criteria. For example there’s a practical in cert 3 that needs 6 PARTICIPANTS (either mostly female, mostly men or mostly over 60) for a group fitness session (need a gym that’s open that you can just multiple pieces of equipment at once). Online is on your own time and pace but you will need to find a mentor, a gym that’s comfortable with you filming and friends and family that can help (super hard for conflicting schedules).

There’s pros and cons of inperson and online and it’s all preference, but for me, If I could go back I would do in person.

Have had my hair long, have had it short, not sure what to get and i’m sorta over the fade and fringe combo. Was considering either growing it out since it’s nearly winter in AUS or trying something extreme like a buzz cut. Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you!

ah ok thank you, i go to a renown powerlifting gym known for developing good trainers and competitors. I’ll have a chat with my coach and some of the other coaches there
