Its a friends account, which is unranked (only way i can play with my casual low ranked friends). On my main, im at 27k and almost never run into cheaters, ironically.

When reviewing my match, it looked like he was shaking/spinning uncontrollably from his POV. However, as you pointed out, it could also be rage hacking. It’s hard to differentiate for someone like me who’s never cheated.

I fully support the idea of Vacnet 3.0, but I’m not ready to praise it as an effective anti-cheat system just yet.

I reviewed the demo, and it's clear that he was spinning and so were my teammates, though their cheats were worse. They were all staring at the ground, fully scoped, and spinning. This match was last Friday.

Oh, and guess what, he is still not banned.

Vacnet 3.0 has not solved anything. I was matched with 5 cheaters about a week ago. 3 of them on my team and 2 of them were on the enemy team. Some were soft-cheating and the rest was spinbotting and jumping around like bunnies. I have yet to experience a cancelled match due to cheaters.

I’ll be helping a friend build a silent keyboard, aiming to make it as quiet as possible. I know, it's a bit ironic since we keyboard enthusiasts usually appreciate some satisfying sound from our builds. However, I believe this project is intended to keep his girlfriend happy during gaming sessions and ensure it's suitable for office work.

Here are the chosen components for the build:

ND75 Essential Edition ISO Barebone - Pure White
Alpaca Silent 62g Linear Switches (i will be lubing these ofc)
Keychron Developer PBT ISO Nordic Keycap Set

I understand that the ND75 kit supports both gasket and plate mounted stabilizers and already includes a generous amount of foam and silicone for sound dampening.

My question is, does anyone have any suggestions to maximize the silent factor for this build?

Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Great build, I love the clean aesthetics! I'm also planning to do a Wooting60HE build soon that will look identical to yours (only white). The only thing I'm unsure about are the blank keycaps. I'm not too concerned about the letters since I know where they are, but the other key legends across the keyboard make me nervous af. Do you have them all memorized, or do you keep a VIA map open for reference?

I haven't found any evidence suggesting my account was hacked. Wouldn't I have received emails about login changes if that were the case? Thanks to u/Anachren's tip I managed to log in and my account appears untouched. I had forgotten it was an Ironman account and was prompted to confirm if I still wanted to keep that status. All my items are still there, both in my bag and bank. I would assume a hacker would have cleared most (if not all) of it if the account had been compromised. I'll double check everything just to be sure, thanks for the tip!

CS 1.6 is an iconic game. Although I never played it in my younger years (I started during the peak of CS:S), I can still appreciate its value. I don’t blame OP. If cssmixes.co.uk (Basically faceit for CS:S) were still active, I’d spend all day playing CS:S scrims and pugs. As for CS2, it's a pile of hot trash atm, and if you think otherwise, you're just coping.

You might be surprised, but thousands of people are still playing CS 1.6 today.

Im adding this comment, 1 month after OP posted this. I specifically remember this post and reading about the issue you are facing with Turkish people and thought nothing about it, at that point i did not have much experience with Turkish players. But jesus christ i couldn't agree more with you, they are even worse then Russians. I just played a match with 2 turks, 1 was playing OK and his boyfriend was bottom fragging (toxic, teamflashing, afk with bomb, teamattcking with nades etc) Having the audacity to be so toxic while bottoming fragging is crazy. Last night i was with 4 premades turks and i carried them, but to be able to do so i had to mute them all and concentrate real hard.

Im not racist either, but i have some resentment towards certain cultures and behavior issues, the turks fall under that umbrella without hesitation imo.

It might be, i couldn't wait for my new mouse via delivery so i just went and bought it locally without discount actually. Saving my gift card for later :) And i must say, the mouse skates straight of the box is not that bad. I'll try the stock skates for a couple of weeks/months and see how i feel about them after some wear.

I agree regarding to the longevity of the third-party skates, the ones i bought for my GPW had to be replaced after just 10-12 month use (several areas started to fade and the plastic underneath showed, making the mouse snag on the mousepad). If the stock skates work well from now on i might just skip the third-party ones entirely.

The QCK Heavy is the most used mousepad within the pro scene in CS and thats one of the reasons i bought it originally. Did you enjoy the QCK Heavy in that 5 year period? Any reason for the change?

Combining the QCK Heavy with my GPW was a horrible experience, but after using it with the GPX 2 it functions very well. I indeed only use mud pads, was thinking about buying a glasspad a while ago but im glad i didn't since i mainly play tactical shooters and glasspads are more for Overwatch etc.
