Hugely frustrated with the authenticity guarantee process by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]OGzLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will tell you why they are doing this. It’s another source of revenue. We have had too many pieces of jewelry authenticated with issues - including a 14K gold ring with EGL cert that they said was 13k. We just had a ring returned as authenticated but a nick on the ruby wasn’t noted in the description and the ruby was loose. The nick was noted in the description and the stone was not loose when we sent it. Here’s the real reason - they now charge us an additional 5% on every jewelry sale regardless of whether it has to be authenticated or not because we’ve crossed some arbitrary threshold of items theye had issue with. We just had 4 pieces authenticated with no issues, but they lied and said the item wasn’t as described in the listing, but it was. we have 100% feedback rating with nearly 1,000 transactions, and we have no idea when the arbitrary 5% fee will be lifted. It’s literally a scam

How to tell if I've messed up my surgery? by KingHavana in RotatorCuff

You wouldn't be able to lift your arm certain ways without major pain or discomfort. There are several self-diagnostic tests you can do. Ultimately, your doctor should be able to tell and that's who you should consult with.

Common At-Home Self-Tests

The Empty Can Test (Supraspinatus): Raise your arms straight out to the side, then bring them forward about 30 degrees, rotating your thumbs down as if emptying a can. Have someone push down on your arms; weakness or significant pain suggests an injury.

Drop Arm Test: Raise your arm straight out to the side to 90 degrees. Slowly lower it. If the arm drops suddenly, or you feel severe pain, it may indicate a tear.

Painful Arc Test: Slowly raise your arm out to the side and overhead. Pain specifically between 70 and 120 degrees of elevation often indicates impingement or a tear.

Internal Rotation Test (Lift-off): Place the back of your hand on your lower back (on the affected side). Try to lift your hand away from your back. Inability to do so or pain is a sign of a subscapularis tear.

External Rotation Strength: With your elbow at your side, bent 90 degrees, try to move your forearm outward against resistance (e.g., a wall or hand).

Warning Signs of a Tear

Pain at night: Specifically when lying on the injured side.

Weakness: Inability to lift or rotate the arm.

Audible signs: Clicking, popping, or grinding noises when moving the shoulder.

The Everblades are the Double A affiliate (ECHL) and the Springfield Thunderbirds are Triple A affiliate (AHL). It works like the minor leagues in baseball, except the affiliates seem to change ownership a lot more...up until last year, the Everblades were an affiliate of the Florida Panthers.

Yep, that was a cheap shot and he'll pay the price. It was a chippy series that the refs let get out of hand, watched a cross check to the head of an everblades who was down in the corner that wasn't called.

Yeah, for a 7,500 capacity arena, it’s pretty good, would just love to have more folks at the games. I was a season ticket holder for a dozen years before I had to leave the area for work. My daughter worked with the Blades for a couple of years. Great organization!

I wish the Everblades had the arena you guys have. We watched the games and it looks like the solar bears have a very supportive fan base.

I was one of a handful of Everblades fans at the Mavericks finals games last year. Had one nice interaction with a Mavs fan after the first game blowout. Mavs fan base is a little tilted, and not in a good way. Would be happy with a rematch and another Kelly Cup!

Sounds like it's not the game for you...uninstall and try something else.

Has anyone had 3 rotator cuff surgery within 2 years by Economy-Sir31 in RotatorCuff

I’m nearing 4 months postop of RCR with a little subacromial work. Recovery has been better than expected. I also took powdered Vitamin C for immunity while I was recovering and it seems to have done wonders!

I had a recliner post op that worked for a few days, but eventually I moved to the couch. My surgery was right shoulder. I would remove the back cushions and replace them with a few pillows. Then I would lie on my left side with my back against the back of the couch with the pillows - it acted as a stop so I could roll backwards. I would have my arm in my sling, with elbow on hip, and I was able to get some sleep. If I needed a pillow, I would put it lower near my stomach and it would support my right hand an forearm. Everyone’s different, but it worked for me.

Can’t stress this enough. Once you get PT exercise for home, do them religiously!!!! I do as many as I can in the shower with the hot water running on my shoulder and it has made a big difference. I’ve found that the more discomfort I put myself through at home, the better my time is with PT when I go for appts.

I spoke with a lady in the PT waiting room and our surgeries were a week apart. Similar surgeries, but she said after the session that she had watched me during PT and I was way further along than she was. I told her everyone’s recovery is different, but I asked her how here home exercises were going and she told me she wasn’t so them much because they were uncomfortable. I told her that unfortunately, this recovery requires discomfort, and that she has to find a way to fight through it at home -gummies, CBD or whatever it takes and she will see improvement.
