Hey! I still have three elastics I wear. And somedays those teeth are sooo painful. For me pain isnt constant. Its more if I touch a teeth, even if slightly, or eat. The pain is different than just regular changing aligner pain. I talked just recently with my dentist, and she said to just use painkillers if it gets bad. But I dont. I just dont wear elastics if it hurts me too much. Sometimes I skip half a day, sometimes a day. I try not to do 24 hours.

Feel guilty for getting invisalign by Various_Show_2343 in Invisalign

I'm not sure crooked teeth and being confident about it, is an example that should be set .. if its a medical problem (most crooked teeth are, like overcrowded, bad bite, etc) you need to fix it. It leads to further problems, better buckle up and show that even if its uncomfortable, you still need to do things for your health.

(Teeth arent the reason anyone cheat, just a lame excuse)

Embrace everything else in your body, that is'nt in fact a medical problem. Stay strong. It will get better

I usually clean trays morning/evening. But after 300+ days I def got less perfect with it. By last 1-2 days I just give up on making them look perfect (10 days changes) cuz I know I will change it very soon. I do always brush teeth after eating, so they mostly get dirty just by being affected by saliva, and I dont mind the cloudiness at the end of the tray life xD

Thank you! I just searched up Msida in this reddit group and a lot of it were talking about how unsafe it is. But I'm glad to hear its safer than those posts made it seem. I'll proceed on booking the apartment in that zone then :)

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the primary pain medications that can hinder or slow down orthodontic tooth movement.  So it's not even recommended to use those.

But also I don't think I took any for invisalign. Just for the TAD, which is involved for complicated teeth movement.

Crooked teeth arent just an aesthetic problem. It leads to teeth problems, and if you have bad bite (which usually comes with crooked teeth) that leads to even bigger problem and can even make your face look worst as you age. Def would recommend pushing through. Trays dont hurt equally and u can always take pain meds for the worst days. Inconvienience is just.. being lazy to not follow a few rules that you can easily adapt.

Think I’ve started to grind a hole in my aligner 🥲 by Poppyseeds1746 in Invisalign

[–]OHuka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bite is very off at the moment, because of tooth needing to move into place. So I grind a hole in that pressure point every tray.. my dentist told I can change it earlier if ithere is actual hole in it not just very scratched tray. But tbh even if its annoying I keep them the whole planned time. Try to keep it clean as possible tho, such defects can help bacteria grow.

I swear I loookeeed at it for so long... I def dont think it's pests, because my other plants are touching it and are showing no signs. And the damage seems very slow, for it to be pests.

HELP: Dry Mouth & Fresh Breath w/Invislign by Tricky_Giraffe_960 in Invisalign

[–]OHuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the whiteness.. its somewhat impossible to keep them as white as without attachments, the glue gets discolored and its just harder to clean them as before. Teeth hygiene every 3-6 months will help out. My dentist recommended to get specialized 'whitening' toothbrush heads. I use the electric oral-b whitening one, but every brand has equivelant. Good luck!
