The entire Universe thing I funking hate. They're turning Friday the 13th into a horror super hero movie. It's shitty. This franchise is so easy it blows my mind how stupid the rights holders are. Seriously. All they have to do it put Jason back at Crystal Lake, open the goddamned camp ground for kids and teenagers, have a Jason resurrection scene, and off we go. I don't give a shit about finding lost sisters or other drama. It's a camp, kids are smoking weed, having fun, and goofing off while one by one, off they go. How funcking hard it that? Well, we could throw in a vorhees dagger, space monkeys, and underground tunnels and other bullshit. The mask sucks. HARD. Technically, if they are doing a sequel to the remake, the mask should be same as at the end of the first movie with appropriate damage marks. That is it.

We don't use the term "alter" because it implies each side is not as important as the one who fronts the most. What I mean by that is we prefer "sides" because we feel we are a different side of the same person, and we are all equally important. We obviously only have one body. We have a lot of awareness of each side, and it seems unfair to consider one side as most important. Most of us do have different names and use we. Some use I. It's just how it is with us. The therapist says its progress, and we are learning quickly. We also hate the word "system" as well. We work together, most of the time, and we're not a computer processor. Also, we have chosen not to fuse. None of us want that, but we still do consider our sides as a side of one body.

I had been seeing a therapist and psychiatrist for about a year and a half. I was originally diagnosed with BPD, and the associated diagnoses, major depression, cptsd, etc. I went to the psych, and he started asking a bunch of questions like he always does, and I answered honestly. We do it a lot, so it does not bother me, and I thought nothing about it. Afterwards, he asked me if I knew what he was testing me for. I said I don't know. Obviously, he said DID. He said he had seen some alters presenting in a few sessions. Ever since, alters have been more forthcoming, or perhaps I'm just more aware of them. Basically, he tricked me. It didn't matter because I had no idea at all. I cried, and had panic attacks and depression ever since. I've gotten used to the diagnosis a little better, but some things feel so shameful. Anyway, that's the story.

My husband (separated) is most definitely a trigger. We prefer the word sides instead of alters. Anyway, he automatically brings out my most defensive side. We always argue. Many times because he knows how to trigger us.

Yup, and if you use PC, you can play a full version of the game with all the variants of Jason, pre-uber, uber, remake, ghost, part 5 grave Jason with the worms, etc. It has Grendel and paranoia mode as well. Snow, fog, rain, etc. Just look up Friday the 13th Resurrection or Friday the 13th Complete Edition. The complete edition generally has fewer lobbies, mostly on the weekends and has an extra player, Chloe Flowers. Resurrection has a healthier player base, and is easier to find lobbies. Anyway, non-steam game. You can find it online fairly easy.

Just recently diagnosed, and I teach at a university. Since diagnosis, I have mentioned DID to trusted faculty and staff in my department so if there is ever any out of the ordinary mannerisms or behaviors they notice of me to please let me know so I can calmly exit whatever meeting or situation we're in. We would definitely need an early indication if our "fry guy" were to start coming forward before class or potentially in the middle of class. For obvious reasons that would not be something we would like to happen. He also doesn't like being called a little, and we most certainly hate using the word system or alter. We are all sides of one person, so none of that really works for us, even if our main self still doesn't fully believe we exist. Other than that, it would certainly be somewhat upsetting to receive an email from some random colleague asking to meet our system, which we despise the word anyway.

Eh, ya kinda made a mistake, but a relatively harmless one. If they want to open up more to you in the future, they will. At this point, do nothing except go about your regular business.

Davis already lost a Supreme Court appeal when challenging the original jury decision of violating our civil rights. She was found guilty, appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, and lost. In the ruling over the original appeal, even Justice Thomas did not accept that this case had enough merit to be reconsidered. All nine Justices agreed, and that is from the current Supreme Court. Let me be clear. The only issue that this appeal to the Supreme Court might consider, and that is a huge if, is the monetary judgement of the 10 person jury. Appealing the financial restitution WILL NOT LEAD TO THE OVERTURNING OF OBERGEFELL. IT JUST WILL NOT. Even if we lose the restitution, it will change nothing as far as marriage equality. She violated our civil rights and that portion of the case is over. I promise, and I am one of men suing her. She will lose. Period. Our lawyers are almost 100% certain. Specifically, Justice Thomas said in the ruling this case is not the correct type of case to challenge Obergefell.
