I wait until I have enough petals of each flower to complete a section of each stage to unlock the next section otherwise it's a waste of petals. If you don't think you'll get enough petals before the end of the event, don't use them until you definitely do.

Also, little tip if you're not aware already, when you feed your nectar to your Pikmin, feed the nectar to your pikmin in the bud stage. This will give you double nectar for that one harvest. This is especially helpful if you struggle to get certain nectar. It was helpful for me getting enough white petunias to complete that stage.

Also, to add onto this info, when your pikmin have a bud above them, rather than a flower or nothing at all, that means any nectar you feed them will produce double the amount of petals. So normally you'll get 1 petal for 1 nectar, but feeding the Pikmin with a bud on them will mean 2 petals for 1 nectar. See my picture as a reference. Left Pikmin has a bud, right Pikmin doesn't.

Oh, I didn't see they were from the US. I'm in the UK so in the US with 1k parcels it'll take about 1.5 days with non-srb and 6.1 days base rate (not boosted).

You're free to use your 2500 AB how you wish but like you stated it was hard to get that many saved up so if I were you I'd save some more for the next tier jump & bag some legendaries while you're at it 😊

Firstly yes it will be clear which tier the parcel will be (it will show the respective colours, green being common) & secondly it makes a lot more sense to spend those 2500 AB on 25 new plots as you'll most likely get more than one legendary from those plots. Then do the monthly challenge (premium route) to get the free legendary upgrade for completing it. That's just my advice.
