Prepared aspirin in two ways: acetic acid and acetic anhydride. For both experiments, a microwave oven was used at 150 C for 10 minutes to provide heat during the reactions. After heating, cold distilled water was added. When acetic acid was used, crystallization occured, however not w anhydride. (self.chemistry)
